Gargash GAC Motor has launched three variants of the all-new 2026 editions of the GAC GS8 Traveller (GT) and Hybrid (GX) mid-size SUV models to the UAE market, offering enhanced performance, advanced technology, and improved fuel efficiency.
The GAC GS8, a mid-size crossover SUV produced by the GAC Group under the Trumpchi brand, is poised to be a significant player in the UAE’s automotive market, thanks to its incorporation of the latest automotive innovations.
GS8 Traveller
The 2026 GAC GS8 Traveller, a 7-seater, is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine that produces 248 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, providing smooth and responsive shifts. The SUV’s multi-link rear suspension and front MacPherson strut are designed to deliver a comfortable ride, even on rough terrain, making it suitable for both urban commuting and off-road adventures. Drive modes include Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sand, Mud, and Snow.
GS8 Hybrid
The 7-seater GAC GS8 Hybrid model combines a petrol engine with an electric motor, offering improved fuel efficiency without compromising on performance. The hybrid system provides seamless transitions between power sources, ensuring a smooth driving experience and offering significant fuel savings compared to traditional petrol engines. Drive modes include Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sand, Mud, and Snow.
The Traveller and Hybrid models feature Level 2 driver assistance, incorporating adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, emergency braking, a 3D 360 panoramic camera, a crystal shift gear knob, a wireless charging pad, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch HD touchscreen, and automatic parking assist, among other features.
The models offer a premium experience with 8-way adjustable Napa leather seats, a 540-degree HD holographic projection system, an Alpine sound system, and an Augmented Reality Head-Up Display (AR-HUD). The AR-HUD projects virtual images, graphics, and text at multiple focal distances, creating an illusion that the cues are a natural extension of the real world.
The GS8’s cabin features a blend of brushed aluminium, wood finishes, and premium accents, creating an upscale environment. The SUV also offers electrically operated third-row seats, a rare feature in the non-premium segment, providing added convenience for families.
Safety is a priority in the 2026 GAC GS8 models, which come equipped with Adaptive Vehicle Dynamic Control (ADVC). This system supports the driver in selecting the most suitable driving mode for various road conditions, thereby enhancing stability and control.

The 2026 GAC GS8 Traveller and Hybrid models are now available for purchase and test drives at Gargash GAC Motors’ showrooms in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. The GS8 Traveller is available for AED 139,900, the GS8 Petrol for AED 149,900, and the GS8 Hybrid for AED 169,900.
