PRE-RACE MEDIA ADVISORY 2024/25 ABB FIA FORMULA E WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: R12, JAKARTA, 21 JUNE

Jaguar TCS Racing travel to Jakarta this weekend for Round 12 of the 2024/25 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

The British team scored a superb victory from pole position last time out in Shanghai with Nick Cassidy in the #37 Jaguar I-TYPE 7. The Kiwi will be looking to maintain this strong momentum following his first win of the campaign, having leapt up to seventh overall in the Drivers’ standings.

The Jakarta E-Prix has proven to be a happy hunting ground for Jaguar TCS Racing’s Mitch Evans. Despite the intense heat of the Indonesian capital, the Jaguar TCS Racing #9 kept a cool head to take victory in the inaugural Jakarta E-Prix in 2022, and also scored a further podium finish the last time Formula E raced around the 2.37km Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit in 2023.

The 2025 Jakarta E-Prix is at 15:05 (BST+6) on Saturday 21 June.

James Barclay, Jaguar TCS Racing Team Principal: “We are heading to Jakarta motivated by Nick and the team’s pole position and victory in China. The pace and win there proved that when we execute well, and aren’t affected by things outside of our control, we have the performance in the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 to fight at the front. We are determined and focussed to continue to do that throughout the rest of Season 11.

“Nick has shown what a class act he is behind the wheel throughout the campaign, even if results have not always gone his way, but after taking the win in Shanghai he will travel to Indonesia full of confidence. Mitch has shown how formidable he can be in Jakarta with a victory and podium in the last three races there. His season has been hugely affected by an unbelievable run of bad luck but he and the team are focussed on improving the things we can control to get him back up the front. Jakarta brings with it a unique set of challenges and conditions and we look forward as always to rising to them.”

Jaguar TCS Racing driver Mitch Evans, #9: “We took a lot of learnings from the Shanghai E-Prix and hopefully we can show that across the rest of the season. I’ve previously enjoyed success in Jakarta, so I’m looking forward to heading to Indonesia with the aim of delivering a strong result.”

Jaguar TCS Racing driver Nick Cassidy, #37: “We have worked so hard this season to unlock the performance in the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 and so it was great to leave Shanghai not only with the win, but showing serious pace in both wet and dry conditions. We need to continue that positive momentum, though, and so I’m looking forward to getting back out on track in Jakarta this weekend.”

Teams’ standings post R11: Jaguar TCS Racing, P8, (83 points)

Drivers’ standings post R11: Nick Cassidy, P7 (58 points) | Mitch Evans, P18 (25 points)

Manufacturers’ standings post R11: Jaguar, P4 (184 points)
