Dubai emerges as key hub in Pratham Mittal’s vision for entrepreneurial education

In an age where innovation drives global progress, Tetr College of Business is emerging as a bold new player on the world stage of business education.

Designed with a radically experiential model, Tetr offers students the opportunity to build businesses rather than merely study them. The college, which operates across seven countries — including the UAE — is drawing a growing number of ambitious students to its Dubai hub, where entrepreneurial spirit meets international opportunity.

Pratham Mittal, the founder of Tetr College, explained how his own academic journey at Wharton and a drive to revolutionize business education led to the creation of Tetr—a place where launching ventures isn’t a side project, but the core of the curriculum.

A New Blueprint for Business Education

“It started in my Wharton classroom where professor Adam Grant challenged us to learn business by building one—the venture born in that class ran for the next decade, proving how transformative real-world experience can be. That early experience solidified a simple truth: the best way to learn business is by actually doing business. Traditional business education, by contrast, was still lacking exactly this kind of hands-on immersion and global perspective, leaving a gap that needed to be filled,” he said.

“Tetr was built as a new blueprint—a place where building businesses is the core pedagogy, because we believe the best way to learn business is by doing business. In practice, this means a cohort of students from 45 different countries literally learn the art of business by launching ventures across seven nations during their four-year journey. For example, in one semester students launch a real e-commerce startup in Dubai with a $10,000 revenue goal instead of a mere grade.

“The goal is that by graduation, each student has the confidence and experience to create a venture of their own in diverse geographies, including high and low income economies—in fact the objective is not just build, but largely understand the most key economies of the world—so that if you airdrop a TETR student in any part of the world, they can not only build a business from scratch, but do so from a point of self-dependency, with access to a global network and mentors, and an understanding of various geographies,” he added.

Dubai as a Learning Lab, Not Just a Campus

“Tetr was never meant to be just another business school—it was built for what comes next. As Dubai grows into a global hub, so is Tetr. The curriculum is hands-on, shaped by what the city is building—in tech, culture, climate, and beyond.

“In just four months, our student teams generated $138,000 through dropshipping ventures—powered by Dubai’s zero-tax policies, global logistics network, and startup-friendly infrastructure,” Mittal said.

“Our students get behind-the-scenes access to companies like Emirates and Emaar, gaining insights into industries from luxury real estate to AI in aviation. They learn negotiation not in a classroom, but at the Dubai Gold Souk, blending street-smart skills with international business savvy.”

Scholarships for UAE-Based Creators

“This scholarship marks a shift in how we define business potential. Today, content creators are also entrepreneurs—or more like solopreneurs. It takes a lot to build, manage and scale a personal brand, and then monetize it using the right strategies. At Tetr, we see that as more than reach—we see it as a foundation for real entrepreneurship.

“This program is designed to help UAE-based creators take the next step: learning how to build products, brands, and companies around the platforms they’ve grown. It’s not just about influence—but turning that influence into long-term value. Through mentorship, global exposure, and hands-on business education, we’re giving creators the tools to think bigger, build smarter, and lead the next wave of digital entrepreneurship,” Mittal remarked.

A Global Commitment

“Tetr College’s decision to fully fund Harvard F‑1 visa students is deeply aligned with its global ambition: to create a future‑focused educational ecosystem that welcomes exceptional minds, regardless of borders or disruption. By offering full scholarships worth approximately $200,000 to current and incoming Harvard F‑1 students affected by the U.S. SEVP suspension, Tetr is offering both stability and momentum to talent at risk of displacement,” he said.

“This move is part of a broader $10 million global scholarship strategy that sees students not merely as learners, but as future builders. These recipients gain access to immersive, entrepreneur-led four-year programs—rotating across seven countries and backed by mentorship from leading global faculty and founders.

“As soon as talent is threatened by external policy, it becomes our responsibility to act. These are exceptional minds whose trajectories should not be derailed. At Tetr, they’ll find more than a classroom—they’ll find a launchpad: tools, community and global exposure to channel their potential into ventures that shape the world.”

Strong Regional Interest as Dubai Cohort Takes Shape

“Currently, our new cohort already includes around 10% students from the Middle East, and we’ve seen an exciting influx of talent from the region. The talent pool is incredibly diverse, with a broad range of academic backgrounds, entrepreneurial ambitions, and professional experiences,” he said.

“Given the high caliber of students and the strong demand from the region, we are confident in doubling down on Dubai as a key hub. Our goal is to provide a platform that nurtures this exceptional talent and helps them scale their entrepreneurial ventures. We’re excited about what’s to come and are eager to offer the right tools, resources, and mentorship to ensure this cohort reaches its full potential.”

Global Expansion: What’s Next for Tetr?

“Tetr’s expansion plans in the coming years are focused on scaling our global impact and broadening access to our unique, experiential learning model. Our vision is to establish Tetr as one of the top institutions for entrepreneurial education worldwide, providing students with the opportunity to build real-world businesses across multiple markets,” Mittal explained.

“We aim to expand our global footprint by tapping into new regions, fostering international collaborations, and creating a stronger network of partners and mentors to enhance our offerings. The next phase will involve establishing more regional hubs, particularly in high-growth markets, to offer tailored educational experiences that cater to local talent while maintaining our global perspective.

“Tetr will continue to focus on creating opportunities for hands-on learning, leveraging partnerships with industry leaders, and driving innovation in how we teach and empower the next generation of entrepreneurs. As we scale, we will ensure that our core values of real-world application, diversity, and collaboration remain at the heart of everything we do, helping students develop the skills and mindset to thrive in an ever-evolving business landscape.

“While our immediate efforts are concentrated on strengthening existing programs, we are also exploring new avenues to diversify our offerings and create new pathways for success for our growing community of students. We are incredibly excited about the future and the limitless possibilities that lie ahead.”
