Eurofragance, the international fragrance house, has been recognized for the second consecutive year with a Platinum medal from EcoVadis, the highest rating awarded by this independent sustainability assessment agency. This distinction, based on 2024 activities and achievements, places Eurofragance in the top 1% of companies in its sector evaluated globally.
In 2024, the company not only maintained its growth in terms of turnover and headcount, but also increased its commitment to social and environmental initiatives. Despite a demanding context, Eurofragance improved its overall score in the EcoVadis assessment, reaching 82 out of 100, compared to 80 in 2023.
In the last fiscal year, Eurofragance achieved a turnover of 180 million euros and surpassed 500 employees worldwide. At the same time, the fragrance house developed new actions linked to its sustainable roadmap, reinforcing the four key areas evaluated by EcoVadis: environment, labor practices and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
Within the environmental area, the company obtained a score of 85 out of 100 thanks to its ongoing efforts to reduce its carbon emissions, which have been reduced by 7% since 2021, the baseline year. In addition, during 2024, Eurofragance also achieved—compared to the previous year—a 7% decrease in water consumption and further reduced the waste it sends to landfills by 5%. These figures reflect the company’s commitment to a more efficient and respectful management of resources.
In the area of ethics, Eurofragance continued to develop its internal training programs in all its subsidiaries, including “Training on the Code of Ethics,” “Anti-fraud Policy” and “Whistle-blower Channel.”
The company also invested significantly in training its teams, accumulating a total of 11,000 hours of training and professional development during the year.
In line with its sustainability strategy, Eurofragance has published its 2024 Sustainability Report, highlighting key progress in the areas of safety, community, business ethics and resource management. Among key milestones, the company maintained carbon neutrality at its manufacturing plants—an achievement first attained in 2023—reduced water consumption and waste and reinforced its commitment to equality, diversity and employee well-being.
“Since the beginning of this journey, EcoVadis has been a benchmark that has guided our efforts towards actions with real impact, both for the planet and for our communities. Receiving the Platinum medal for the second time in a row is a very motivating recognition for all Eurofragance teams. We know that the bar will be set higher every year, but our goal is to continue to meet these exacting standards,” says Diana March, Chief Sustainability & Technical Compliance Officer at Eurofragance.
Laurent Mercier, CEO of the company, notes: “Five years ago, Eurofragance embarked with conviction and commitment on its journey towards sustainability. From this journey, I have learned the value of small victories that add up over time, the importance of setting achievable goals and, above all, that sustainability and business are not opposites. Obtaining the EcoVadis Platinum recognition two years in a row is not only gratifying, but it also confirms that we are on the right path and that there is no turning back.”
This new recognition reinforces Eurofragance’s long-term vision, focused on integrating sustainability in all its areas of activity, as a fundamental strategic axis to continue growing with positive impact.
