Emirates has added two more global accolades to its name at the APEX/IFSA Global EXPO in Long Beach, California, strengthening its reputation as one of the world’s leading airlines.

The Dubai-based carrier secured the 2026 APEX Best Global Entertainment Award for its renowned inflight entertainment system, ice, and the 2026 APEX World Class Award, which recognises outstanding performance across every aspect of the passenger journey.

The Best Global Entertainment Award was determined by more than one million verified passenger votes from across the globe, with Emirates standing out among over 600 airlines. Its ice system remains the world’s largest media library in the sky, offering customers a choice of 6,500 channels, including 2,000 movies, 650 TV shows, and 4,000 hours of music, podcasts, and audiobooks in 40 languages.

Emirates also celebrated its sixth consecutive APEX World Class Award since the accolade was introduced in 2021. The recognition covers all key service areas including safety, sustainability, food and beverage, hospitality, comfort, and connectivity. Assessed by industry professionals on real flights, the award underscores the airline’s “Fly Better” promise and its consistency in delivering a premium travel experience.

These wins build on Emirates’ growing list of global achievements. In 2025, the airline was voted Best Long-Haul Airline at The Telegraph Travel Awards by 20,000 readers, while YouGov ranked it among the Top 10 Most Recommended Global Brands, making Emirates the only airline on the list.

Looking ahead, Emirates is investing over $350 million to introduce Thales’ Avant Up inflight entertainment system on its incoming fleet of 50 Airbus A350 aircraft. This next-generation technology will further enhance its award-winning onboard experience, reinforcing Emirates’ position as the airline of choice for travellers worldwide.
