The UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, has crossed a major milestone, greeting its four millionth visitor since opening earlier this year. The achievement reinforces the pavilion’s status as one of the most visited attractions at the global showcase.

The announcement comes just days after the UAE marked its official National Day at Expo with a grand celebration featuring cultural performances, high-level delegations, and thousands of visitors. The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, along with senior UAE and Japanese officials, Expo leadership, and commissioners general.

A Shared Celebration

To commemorate the milestone, the Pavilion hosted a collaborative art activity inspired by Japanese traditions. Guests participated in a “Nurie Pazuru” (colour-in puzzle) on the pavilion’s facade, gradually revealing the number “4,000,000.” The artwork now stands as a symbol of unity and connection, shaped by the contributions of visitors from across the world.

“Reaching four million visitors is a reminder that the UAE Pavilion is not only representing our nation, but also every person who has stepped inside, experienced Emirati hospitality, and engaged with our Youth Ambassadors,” said Shihab Alfaheem, UAE Ambassador to Japan and Commissioner General of the Pavilion. “This achievement, so soon after the success of UAE Day, reflects both the warmth of our welcome and the curiosity of global audiences.”

From Earth to Ether

Since opening in April 2025, the UAE Pavilion titled Earth to Ether has invited visitors on a multisensory journey through five thematic zones, blending storytelling, innovation, and cultural heritage. The Pavilion’s striking architecture and immersive experiences have earned praise from Expo guests and international media alike.

As Expo 2025 Osaka runs until October 13, the UAE Pavilion continues to attract strong interest, serving as a vibrant meeting point for cultures and ideas. Each new milestone, organisers say, reflects the human connections at the heart of the Expo experience.
