Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed honoured with Diamond Award for Excellence in Culture

Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, has been awarded the Diamond Award for Excellence in Culture, the highest distinction granted annually by the Asociación Española del Lujo (Luxury Spain).

Sheikha Latifa stands as the only Arab woman among this year’s international recipients  a recognition that underscores her visionary leadership, cultural diplomacy, and global influence in advancing the role of culture as a bridge for human progress and cross-cultural dialogue.

The award honours individuals and institutions making exceptional contributions to art, heritage, and cultural development across the world. Under Sheikha Latifa’s leadership, Dubai Culture has spearheaded initiatives that position the emirate as a global hub for creativity and innovation, while remaining deeply rooted in Emirati heritage and identity.

Her efforts have played a pivotal role in transforming Dubai into a thriving international cultural destination, fostering collaboration between artists, cultural institutions, and global creative communities  and reinforcing the UAE’s commitment to shaping a vibrant and inclusive cultural future.
