The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE) has announced the launch of domestic worker services under the “Work Bundle” initiative, marking a new milestone in the UAE’s journey toward seamless and integrated digital governance.
Developed in partnership with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, Emirates Health Services, the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), and the Abu Dhabi Department of Health, this initiative aligns with the Zero Bureaucracy Program and the government’s vision to deliver fast, efficient, and customer-centric digital services.
Streamlined Digital Process for Domestic Workers
The expanded Work Bundle now enables residents to apply for, renew, or cancel domestic worker residence permits, complete medical fitness procedures, and sign employment contracts electronically through a single digital platform.
Applicants can complete all steps from entering passport and ID details to receiving the Emirates ID and residence permit within a simplified process that replaces multiple visits and paperwork with an entirely digital experience.
Collaboration Driving Government Efficiency
Khalil Ibrahim Al Khoori, Undersecretary for Human Resources Affairs at MoHRE, highlighted the strong cooperation among all participating entities.
“This initiative supports the leadership’s vision to reduce bureaucracy and elevate the customer experience through innovative, unified government services,” he said.
Al Khoori added that the launch builds on the success of earlier pilot programs that simplified employment procedures, reinforcing the UAE’s global position as a leader in digital transformation and AI-driven service innovation.
Enhancing Customer Experience and Quality of Life
Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, described the Work Bundle as a “strategic model for integrated government service delivery.”
“By reducing steps and unifying service channels, we enhance quality of life, save time and effort for customers, and ensure efficient use of resources across government entities,” he stated.
He emphasized that the initiative supports the Zero Bureaucracy Program by simplifying administrative processes, reducing operational costs, and improving satisfaction for both citizens and residents.
A Benchmark for Digital Integration
The Work Bundle unites eight services from five government entities into a single, seamless journey eliminating repetitive data entry and unnecessary procedures.
Since its initial launch for private sector companies, the platform has achieved remarkable efficiencies, reducing procedural steps from 15 to 5, required documents from 16 to 5, and processing time from 30 working days to just 5.
One Platform for All Employment Services
With domestic worker services now integrated, the Work Bundle provides a single gateway for both private sector and domestic employment transactions across the UAE.
This unified approach simplifies onboarding, eliminates physical visits, and ensures a transparent, efficient, and fully digital experience for all users.
By expanding the Work Bundle, the UAE continues to demonstrate its commitment to innovation, efficiency, and service excellence, reinforcing its status as one of the world’s most digitally advanced and citizen-focused nations.
