UAE Ministry of Defense Pays Tribute to the Nation’s Fallen Heroes on Commemoration Day

The UAE today marked Commemoration Day with heartfelt tributes to the nation’s martyrs, whose sacrifices continue to inspire pride and unity across the country. Senior leaders from the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces honoured the bravery of the men who gave their lives protecting the nation, its people, and its values.

Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Fadel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, said the UAE will forever remember the courage of its martyrs. He noted that their sacrifices reflect the deep-rooted principles taught by the country’s leadership. “Our heroic martyrs have written shining pages in the history of the United Arab Emirates. They defended truth, supported those in need, and stood with the oppressed. Their sacrifices were made out of strong belief in the noble values that guide our nation,” he said.

Lieutenant General Engineer Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, said Commemoration Day serves as a reminder of the commitment and courage shown by the nation’s fallen heroes. “This day embodies the sacrifices of the martyrs who gave their lives to defend the nation and its achievements. It reflects our pride in their loyalty, bravery, and determination. The UAE will always honour those who protected its sovereignty,” he said.

Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Nasser Al Alawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense, described the day as a moment for the nation to unite in remembrance. “Commemoration Day is a cherished national occasion to honour the righteous martyrs, highlight their heroism, and ensure their sacrifices remain forever in the memory of this nation. Their values of loyalty and selflessness continue to guide us as we work to keep the UAE strong, dignified, and its flag raised high,” he said.
