Canon Middle East (CME) held ‘ONE Club 2025’ as it celebrates 25 years of operations in the Middle East region and advances into Phase 2 of its mid-term strategy. The exclusive gathering brought together key partners and stakeholders to align strategic priorities and explore new opportunities for collaborative growth across the Middle East.
Over the years, ONE Club has evolved from a traditional partner conference into a strategic platform for dialogue, knowledge sharing, and future planning. The 2025 edition centers on CME’s four strategic pillars — Customer of Tomorrow, Employee of Tomorrow, Partner of Tomorrow, and Mindset of Tomorrow — which collectively define Canon’s transformation journey and long-term growth trajectory.
Celebrating Growth and Transformation
CME continues to demonstrate strong momentum across both consumer and business segments, supported by strategic investments in innovation, talent, and customer-centric solutions that address the region’s evolving market needs.
Venkatasubramanian (Subbu) Hariharan, Managing Director of Canon Middle East and Turkey, said: “ONE Club 2025 represents a significant milestone as we celebrate 25 years of Canon Middle East while charting our direction for the future. This forum provides a vital opportunity to engage in open dialogue with our partners and align on the strategic priorities that will sustain our growth momentum. The insights and collaboration shared here will be instrumental in strengthening Canon’s leadership and resilience in a fast-evolving market.”
Honoring Purpose and Impact
‘Our Purpose Awards’, celebrates partners who exemplify Canon’s values and contribute significantly to shared success. The awards recognize individuals and organizations driving meaningful impact across businesses, and communities — reinforcing that sustainable success is built on strong relationships and aligned values.
A highlight of ONE Club 2025 is the 25th Anniversary Partner Awards, honoring members of the Canon Middle East Partners community for their exceptional contributions and commitment over the company’s 25-year journey in the region.
World Unseen 2.0: Where Innovation Meets Conservation
Canon Middle East also showcased World Unseen 2.0: Coral Restoration, a sustainability initiative that applies Canon’s imaging expertise to marine conservation.
Earlier this year, Canon EMEA announced the pioneering sustainability initiative in partnership with Nature Seychelles, a leading environmental non-profit in the region, and Coral Spawning International (CSI), recognized pioneers in land-based coral reproduction and restoration. This collaboration underscores Canon’s commitment to sustainability and marine ecosystem preservation in Seychelles and beyond. As part of the event, we also took our partners to witness these efforts firsthand and gave them a guided tour of the project site, allowing them to see the tangible impact of this collaboration in action.
Following the successful EMEA launch, the program has been introduced to the Middle East through a partnership with Freestyle Divers and Project REEFrame in the UAE.
Through this collaboration, Canon is sponsoring coral nursery tables and reef infrastructure at Project REEFrame’s 40,000 m² restoration site in Dibba, Al Fujairah. The initiative supports the propagation and outplanting of thousands of coral fragments, with Canon providing PowerShot G7 X Mark III and EOS R8 cameras, complete with underwater housings and lighting systems, to capture crucial data on coral growth, health, and biodiversity. Canon printers will also be used to create visual exhibitions that communicate restoration progress to wider audiences.
The project underscores Canon’s belief that innovation extends beyond technology — serving as a catalyst for environmental restoration, education, and community engagement.
Living the Philosophy of Kyosei
This collaboration reflects Canon’s corporate philosophy of Kyosei — “living and working together for the common good.”
The principle is also embodied in initiatives such as the Women Who Empower Programme, which supports women across the imaging and print industries through mentorship and networking, and the Canon Young People Programme, which inspires youth to address sustainability challenges through creativity and visual storytelling.
With over 8% of global sales reinvested annually into R&D, Canon continues to pioneer technologies that advance both business and societal progress — from cutting-edge medical imaging solutions to sustainability programs empowering the next generation of changemakers.
Shaping the Next 25 Years
As Canon Middle East celebrates 25 years of regional excellence, ONE Club 2025 stands as a defining moment — reaffirming the company’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and purpose-driven growth.
The event served as a launchpad for the next phase of Canon’s journey: shaping for a brighter, more sustainable future for customers, employees, partners, and communities across the Middle East.
