Dubai, UAE — December 2025 — The Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department has officially opened nominations for the highly anticipated 2025 cycle of the “Real Estate Excellence Award,” introducing a comprehensively upgraded set of criteria focused on sustainability, digital transformation, and corporate transparency.

Registration is now active for institutions, companies, associations, and real estate offices operating in the Emirate and will remain open until 29th January 2026.

This new award cycle underscores the Department’s strategic drive to cultivate a competitive and forward-looking real estate environment, directly supporting Sharjah’s vision for sustainable sectoral growth that bolsters the economy and serves the community.

In a significant overhaul, the award’s evaluation standards have been rigorously enhanced to elevate industry benchmarks. The new framework prioritises environmental sustainability by incentivising energy- and water-saving systems and green building certifications. It also champions digital transformation through the adoption of smart systems, electronic property platforms, and artificial intelligence in real estate services.

Further revisions emphasise financial and operational sustainability, improved risk and safety management protocols, and robust training programmes for industry professionals to boost customer satisfaction. The standards also mandate greater transparency within owners’ associations and encourage active corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al-Shamsi, Director-General of the SRERD, said that the award has become a prominent institutional milestone reflecting Sharjah’s strategic vision of establishing excellence and innovation.

He invited all real estate entities to participate actively, presenting inspiring examples of initiatives that enhance the quality of work and establish a culture of quality and compliance.

Echoing this sentiment, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Director of the Strategic Planning and Institutional Excellence Office at SRERD, confirmed that the development aligns with global best practices.

The judging mechanism will be based on clear professional criteria grounded in reliability and accuracy, guaranteeing recognition for entities that have made a genuine impact on the sector’s sustainability and competitiveness, he said.

The award encompasses four key categories: Real Estate Offices, Real Estate Development Companies, Owners’ Association Boards, and Management Supervision Service Companies, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of the emirate’s real estate ecosystem.

Interested parties can register and view detailed criteria through the Department’s official website: www.shjrerd.gov.ae. The SRERD has encouraged applicants to thoroughly adhere to participation requirements and submit comprehensive supporting documentation.

The culmination of the award will be a formal ceremony in April 2026, where winners will be honoured for achieving advanced levels of performance, accomplishment, and innovation, setting a renewed benchmark for excellence in Sharjah’s dynamic real estate market.
