Dubai, UAE — December 2025 — In a significant development for the region’s logistics sector, Dubai Airport Freezone, a member of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority, has officially inaugurated the new regional headquarters of AWOT Global Logistics Corporation.

According to the Emirates News Agency, the opening ceremony was led by Arif Al Khouri, Senior Vice President of Customer Services at DAFZ, and Chris Yang, General Manager of AWOT MENA Region, and attended by senior executives from AWOT including Chief Operating Officer David Lee and Chief Commercial Officer Kenny Li, alongside officials from both entities.

This strategic establishment underscores the confidence of one of the world’s premier logistics service providers in Dubai’s dynamic business environment and its pivotal role as a global nexus for supply chains and cross-border trade.

AWOT’s decision to anchor its regional command center at DAFZ is a core component of its strategy to bolster operations across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. The move leverages Dubai’s strategic geographic location, advanced infrastructure, and world-class logistics capabilities.

Arif Al Khouri emphasized that the opening reflects the trust major international companies place in Dubai and reinforces the emirate’s capacity to deliver an integrated ecosystem conducive to sustainable growth.

“This step aligns with our efforts to consolidate Dubai’s position as a global hub for supply chains and logistics services, contributing to the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33,” he stated.

Al Khouri added that DAFZ is committed to utilizing its advanced infrastructure and proximity to Dubai International Airport to support AWOT’s global operations and enhance supply chain efficiency.

Chris Yang described the inauguration as a pivotal milestone in AWOT’s expansion journey. “By establishing our presence here, we are positioning ourselves closer to our customers, closer to opportunity, while reinforcing our long-term commitment. Dubai provides an ideal platform to lead and scale our integrated logistics solutions, thanks to its advanced logistics infrastructure, ease of doing business, and its strategic location connecting key global markets,” he said.

Headquartered in China and ranked among the world’s top ten air freight providers, AWOT operates a vast network encompassing 55 self-operated locations across Asia and a strategic presence in North America and Europe, supported by over 1,500 employees and a global partner network spanning more than 100 countries.

From its new base at DAFZ, AWOT will oversee a comprehensive suite of services including air, sea, and land freight, cross-border transportation, and specialized project logistics, while coordinating regional and international partnerships. DAFZ will facilitate this expansion by connecting AWOT to an integrated ecosystem of logistics providers, customs authorities, and distribution partners.

The headquarters will also serve as a hub for innovation, deploying AWOT’s cloud-based digital solutions and advanced tracking systems to enhance operational efficiency and add value to regional supply chains.

DAFZ will provide continued technical and institutional support, streamlining regulatory procedures to enable AWOT’s growth, while the company will contribute its global expertise to further enrich Dubai’s logistics landscape and explore new regional opportunities for its partners.
