 Abu Dhabi Police have announced a special initiative allowing motorists to benefit from traffic points services during the Liwa International Festival, giving eligible drivers an opportunity to reinstate suspended driving licences or reduce accumulated traffic points.
The service will be available from Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 4:00pm until Friday, January 2, 2026, at the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority camp. The initiative forms part of the community-focused programmes held alongside LIWA 2026 in the Al Dhafra Region.
According to Abu Dhabi Police, the initiative includes licence reinstatement and traffic points reduction through approved programmes. It is designed to raise road safety awareness while offering drivers a structured way to regularise their traffic records.
Police officials said the move reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen community engagement, promote responsible driving behaviour and support motorists through preventive and educational measures.
The traffic services will be available throughout the festival period as part of broader outreach activities linked to the event.
