UAE reinforces LNG cooperation and energy dialogue at Doha conference

Dubai, UAE — February 2026 — The UAE, led by its Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, is participating in the 21st International Liquefied Natural Gas Conference and Exhibition in Doha, Qatar.

The high-level event, concluding on February 5th, convenes global energy leaders, officials, and experts to deliberate on LNG’s critical role in future energy security and the transition to sustainable systems.

According to the Emirates News Agency, the conference agenda encompasses pivotal topics such as leveraging artificial intelligence in the energy sector, the necessity of sustained investment and innovation, and natural gas’s contribution to development, especially in emerging economies.

The UAE’s engagement underscores its dedication to fostering international energy dialogue, building strategic partnerships, and sharing expertise to balance global energy security with sustainability objectives.

During the conference, Minister Al Mazrouei held a bilateral meeting with Qatar’s Minister of State for Energy Affairs, Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi. Their discussions focused on enhancing energy cooperation between the two nations and exchanging perspectives on regional and international developments of mutual interest.

The UAE delegation also toured the accompanying exhibition, reviewing cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions from premier Qatari and international firms. They were presented with the latest projects and initiatives designed to bolster global energy security and advance sustainability goals.
