The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has confirmed the official working hours for ministries and federal government entities during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
According to the announcement, federal employees will work from 9am to 2.30pm, Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, working hours will run from 9am to midnight, except for roles that require different schedules due to the nature of the job.
In a statement published on its official website, FAHR said flexible working arrangements may continue during Ramadan, provided employees complete the approved daily working hours.
The authority also noted that federal entities may allow remote work on Fridays, with the number of employees working remotely capped at 70 per cent of the total workforce, in line with approved regulations.
The revised timings are part of the government’s annual adjustments during Ramadan, aimed at supporting employees while maintaining operational efficiency across federal institutions.
