Residents planning their travel during the holy month can expect adjusted schedules across public transport, parking and service centres, as Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) rolls out new Ramadan timings.

The authority confirmed that revised working hours will apply to customer happiness centres, paid parking zones, Metro and Tram services, marine transport, and vehicle testing facilities. The move is designed to align with altered commuting patterns and working hours during the fasting month.

Customer Happiness Centres Timings

Customer happiness centres in Deira, Al Twar, Al Manara and Al Kifaf will operate from Monday to Thursday between 9am and 5pm, and on Fridays from 9am to 12pm.

The Al Barsha centre will open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, while the Umm Ramool centre will continue to operate 24 hours a day.

Vehicle Testing and Registration Services

Service provider centres such as Tasjeel and other registration and technical inspection facilities across the emirate will adopt split shifts during Ramadan.

Most centres will operate from 8am to 4pm, with evening services resuming from 8pm to midnight. On Fridays, morning hours will run from 8am to 12pm, followed by evening shifts starting either at 4pm or 8pm, depending on the location.

The RTA noted that between 4pm and 8pm at selected centres, only technical inspection services will be available, without vehicle registration services.

Inspection facilities in Al Awir, Nad Al Hamar, Al Jaddaf and Motor City will also provide evening services to meet increased demand. Some centres will offer limited inspection-only services on Sundays.

Ramadan Parking Timings

Public parking fees will apply from Monday to Saturday in two time slots:

  • 8am to 6pm

  • 8pm to midnight

Multi-storey parking buildings will continue operating 24 hours a day throughout Ramadan.

Dubai Metro and Tram Schedule

Both the Red and Green lines of the Dubai Metro will operate as follows:

  • Monday to Thursday: 5am to midnight

  • Friday: 5am to 1am (next day)

  • Saturday: 5am to midnight

  • Sunday: 8am to midnight

In line with the revised Ramadan schedules, commuters are advised to stay informed about Dubai Metro rules, which include operational hours, boarding protocols, and passenger conduct. These rules ensure smooth travel on the Red and Green lines, maintain safety standards, and help passengers navigate service adjustments during peak periods and special timings observed during the holy month.

The Dubai Tram will run:

  • Monday to Saturday: 6am to 1am (next day)

  • Sunday: 9am to 1am

Passengers are encouraged to check updated bus schedules via the S’hail app. Marine transport service timings will be available on the RTA’s official website.

With extended evening operations and split service hours, the updated Ramadan schedule aims to ensure smoother mobility across the emirate while accommodating the unique rhythm of the holy month.
