PureHealth, the largest healthcare group in the Middle East, has announced its support for the “Mother of the Nation Endowment for Orphans”, with AED 100M, as the healthcare partner of the initiative in the UAE. Through its network of healthcare facilities and medical institutions, the group will provide essential healthcare services for orphans, helping enhance their quality of life and supporting their health and wellbeing.
The campaign is organised by the Endowments and Minors’ Funds Authority – Awqaf Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with Erth Zayed Philanthropies, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and aims to establish a sustainable endowment funding source dedicated to supporting orphan care across the country.
His Excellency Abdul Hamid Mohammed Saeed, Chairman of Awqaf Abu Dhabi, highlighted the importance of such community partnerships in supporting national initiatives with sustainable social impact. He noted that these contributions help provide an integrated healthcare support system for orphans, while also advancing efforts to secure a more stable future for them and enhance their quality of life. He added that such initiatives contribute to strengthening social cohesion and reinforcing endowment (waqf) as a sustainable development tool, continuing the approach of the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, whose legacy was rooted in solidarity, cooperation, and humanitarian giving.
H.E. Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Secretary General of Erth Zayed Philanthropies stated that community contributions such as PureHealth Group’s contribution reflect the important role played by leading national institutions in supporting humanitarian initiatives aligned with the UAE’s social development priorities, particularly during the “Year of Family.”
He noted that these efforts reinforce the values of solidarity and social cohesion across all segments of society – values established by the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and further strengthened by His Highness the President of the UAE through the implementation of impactful initiatives, projects and programmes across the UAE and internationally, spanning vital sectors and key fields.
Farhan Malik, Founder and Managing Director of PureHealth, said: “Our support for initiatives like the ‘Mother of the Nation Endowment for Orphans’ campaign goes beyond a contribution, it’s about standing with those who need care, protection and a sense of stability in their lives. Our continued partnership with Awqaf Abu Dhabi, building on our previous contribution to the Life Endowment campaign, reflects how deeply philanthropy is embedded in what we do, and the responsibility we feel to be present where it matters most.
H.E. Fahad Abdulqader Al Qassim, Director General of the Endowments and Minors’ Funds Authority – Awqaf Abu Dhabi, said: “PureHealth’s support for the ‘Mother of the Nation Endowment for Orphans’ campaign as the healthcare partner represents a valuable addition to our efforts to provide a comprehensive and sustainable support system for orphans in the UAE. This partnership highlights the vital role the healthcare sector can play in enhancing the quality of life of orphans and supporting the humanitarian and development goals of the campaign.”
This support further contributes to advancing the objectives of the “Mother of the Nation Endowment for Orphans” initiative, which seeks to transform community contributions into sustainable endowment assets invested through an approved waqf model. It also aims to provide orphans with comprehensive support that enables them to live dignified lives with health, wellbeing and stability.
