SEHA, a subsidiary of PureHealth and the largest healthcare group in the Middle East, announced that SEHA’s Corniche Fertility Centre, part of SEHA IVF services, has highlighted a successful patient journey that reflects the value of multidisciplinary collaboration, personalised treatment planning, and continuity of care across fertility and women’s health services.
After two years of primary infertility, the patient sought specialised care in 2023. Following evaluation, she and her partner proceeded with assessment and treatment planning for an IVF/ICSI cycle.
The couple underwent an IVF/ICSI cycle with preimplantation testing in October 2023. Eighteen oocytes were aspirated, with eleven mature oocytes injected, resulting in nine fertilised embryos. Five embryos were biopsied and cryopreserved, with three labelled genetically normal.
During embryo transfer preparation in July 2024, the ultrasound revealed an endometrial abnormality, and the patient was referred for uterine cavity assessment. A hysteroscopy was performed which confirmed the patient had an endometrial polyp, removed via polypectomy.
Following her surgery, the patient resumed treatment at Corniche Fertility Centre in November 2024. The patient then underwent a frozen embryo transfer, and a subsequent scan confirmed a clinical pregnancy. She continued her antenatal care at Corniche Hospital, culminating in the successful birth of a healthy baby in July 2025, marking a remarkable success story for the SEHA IVF service model.
