Zeekr Celebrates Five Years of Innovation and Previews the New 9X at Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi

Zeekr marked its fifth anniversary with a Zeekr Dynamic track day at Yas Marina Circuit, bringing together more than 200 owners alongside media and key opinion leaders for a full day on one of the world’s most demanding circuits. The day celebrated five years of Zeekr with the community that has grown around the brand, and it gave guests an exclusive first experience of the Zeekr 9X, the brand’s upcoming tech-luxury full-size SUV and new flagship.

Zeekr Dynamic is the brand’s global track day platform, created by its user operations team to bring owners together to enjoy their cars in a high-energy environment and to celebrate the brand they have grown alongside. The platform places existing owners at the centre of the brand and treats them as the people who carry it forward. In the UAE that community now numbers in the hundreds, and for one day it took over the Grand Prix circuit at Yas Marina Circuit, one of the most iconic venues in world motorsport. The whole day was built around the Zeekr owners and media that were part of the brand’s journey to celebrate this milestone.

A flagship built on power and intelligence

Zeekr 9X, the brand’s new flagship made it’s 1st UAE preview exclusively for the event attendees. The world’s first luxury super-hybrid built on a pure electric platform, the 9X produces more than 1,400 hp, offers a combined range of more than 1,250 km, and charges from 20 to 80 per cent in around nine minutes. Its design marks it as a flagship, with the largest integrated grille of any SUV, a clam-shell hood, a yacht-style roofline, and the SEA Star Diamond matrix lighting system that gives the car a commanding presence at the top of the range.

Inside, the 9X runs on Zeekr AI OS, the brand’s native AI smart cockpit operating system, presented across a 16-inch central touchscreen and a matching front passenger screen. The system brings navigation, media, and vehicle controls into a single interface and responds to voice commands from across the cabin. Supporting the driver is an advanced driver-assistance system that draws on a full array of cameras and radars, reading the road to ease the demands of city traffic and long-distance driving alike. Intelligence sits at the centre of the experience, which is central to how Zeekr defines tech luxury.

The interior pairs that technology with the materials and comfort of a flagship. At its heart are World Premiere Floating Cloud seats, offering zero-gravity, recliner, swivel, and massage modes for passengers across the cabin. The finish continues the theme, with Nappa leather upholstery, natural solid wood trim, a suede-wrapped headliner, and configurable ambient lighting. A Naim Signature sound system carries audio through 32 speakers, and three full rows of seating give the 9X the space and presence expected at the top of the range.

Performance across the range

Performance ran through the entire day, and the drag strip delivered the spectacle. Run after run, the Zeekr 9X lined up against a field of supercars, a full-size luxury SUV launching off the line with the immediacy of more than 1,400 hp and three electric motors, showcasing its own capabilities against cars built purely for speed. The point Zeekr set out to make landed with every launch: whatever the shape, the size, or the badge in the next lane, performance is built into every car the brand makes.

A full day on track

The day was built as an experience for the owners. After arrival and a welcome that introduced the brand and gave guests their first sight of the 9X, the more than 200 owners were divided into groups and moved through three activity zones in rotation, so that every guest took part in each one. On the Grand Prix circuit, both the 9X and the 7X ran the full layout, letting owners feel the cars on one of the most demanding tracks in world motorsport. At the drag strip, the acceleration runs played out between the Zeekr cars and their rivals. In the third zone, a professional driver took guests through a drift ride-along in the Zeekr 7X, working the car across the tarmac as passengers rode along. As the activities drew to a close, owners came together for the moment of the day. They took to the full Grand Prix layout at Yas Marina Circuit in convoy, running the circuit in parade formation to put the community on track together and close the celebration where it belonged. The day ended with dinner at the venue, the fifth anniversary marked together.

Ms. Nicole Huang, Head of User Operations at Zeekr said, “Zeekr Dynamic is how we bring our community together to celebrate everything the brand stands for. Five years in, having more than 200 owners with us at Yas Marina Circuit says everything about the strength of Zeekr in this region. These are the people who chose Zeekr early and have grown with us, and a day on track is how we celebrate them and the journey we are on together. Putting the 9X in front of them for the first time was the right way to mark the moment. It is a flagship that leads on design, intelligence, and craftsmanship, and it shows exactly where we are taking premium mobility across the UAE and the wider Middle East. This is only the start of what we are building with our community here.”

Five years of momentum

The day marked five years since Zeekr launched as a global brand in 2021, a milestone the company chose to celebrate with the owners who have defined it. In that time Zeekr has delivered more than 800,000 vehicles worldwide and has grown into a line-up that now spans the 001, 001FR, 009, X, 007, 7X, MIX, 009 Grand,9X and 7GT, sold across more than 40 markets. The brand’s design direction is led by Global Chief Designer Stefan Sielaff, whose work has shaped its tech-luxury identity since 2021. The Zeekr 9X continues that story as the new flagship, expected in the UAE later in 2026, with timing to be confirmed. Pre-bookings opened to guests on the day through an on-site configurator and remain open through the official Zeekr UAE channels, with media test drives to follow through the dealer network.
