2nd Moscow Startup Summit to be held on September 29–30

On September 29–30, Moscow is hosting the Moscow Startup Summit, a conference on tech entrepreneurship and open innovation co-organized by the Moscow Government and Sber.

The 2026 event’s key idea is the transformation of five core industries: medicine and biotechnology, education and creative industries, agriculture and food production, construction and urbanism, and smart devices and robotics by using startup technology solutions. The summit’s number one goal is to facilitate dealmaking between investors, corporations, and startups from these industries and shorten the path from technology to a working, practical solution.

The summit’s business program will focus on the use of technology in the core industries. An open dialogue will highlight the pressing challenges facing investors, large businesses, and government, as well as how tech startups can address these needs. This concept will be put into practice at the exhibition, allowing customers to test solutions and negotiate contracts, while investors will be able to offer funding. A series of pitch shows will also take place on the summit stage, with the strongest startups from Russia and abroad presenting their designs. The startups will include graduates of the Sber500 international IT-accelerator and Sber’s youth accelerators.

The two-day event will conclude with the Technology Award ceremony. The ceremony aims to bring together startups, investors, corporations, technology entrepreneurship advocates, universities, and regional development institutions, highlighting their achievements in driving Russia’s open innovation ecosystem.

The event will take place on the premises of the smart city SberCity, on the largest campus of School 21.

Aleksei Katkov, senior vice president, director of the Center for High-Potential Investment, Sberbank:

“The competitiveness of any industry today is measured by the speed of innovation. Startups can offer large businesses and regions exactly what they need: ready-made, tested products that can quickly be integrated into existing workflows. Our goal at the summit is to transform technological trends into real business cases for five focus industries. We are creating an environment in which the government is willing to support initiatives, investors are willing to inject money, and big businesses and developers find opportunities for direct collaboration.”
