Borouge Plc has approved an interim dividend of $656 million for the first half of 2026, equal to 8.1 fils per share.
The company also reaffirmed plans to distribute a total dividend of 16.2 fils per share for 2026. The remaining 8.1 fils per share is expected to be paid as a final dividend during the second quarter of 2027.
Since its initial public offering in June 2022, Borouge has returned $4.9 billion to shareholders through dividend payments.
Borouge Chief Executive Officer Hazeem Sultan Al Suwaidi said the interim dividend reflected the company’s resilient financial performance, disciplined execution and ability to deliver attractive shareholder returns.
He added that Borouge’s specialised product portfolio, strong pricing premiums and continued focus on cost efficiency positioned the company to create sustainable value as it entered its next phase of growth under Borouge International.
The formation of Borouge International was completed on March 30, 2026, creating the world’s fourth-largest polyolefins producer by nameplate capacity. The new platform combines proprietary technologies, premium products and an expanded international footprint.
As part of Borouge International, Borouge Plc is expected to benefit from greater scale, wider geographic diversification and access to a broader technology and product portfolio. The company said these advantages would strengthen its long-term competitiveness while supporting future growth and shareholder returns.
