FNDM Announces First Japanese Voice Actor Yuki Matsuoka as FNDM returns for its Second Edition

Dubai’s fan-favourite community event celebrating pop culture is back. Following a record-breaking edition of Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC), the organisers behind the region’s leading pop culture event are bringing FNDM back to The Concourse Convention Center, Dubai Outlet Mall, from 31 October to 1 November 2026 for its second edition.

Built for the fans who collect, create, play, cosplay and obsess over the worlds they love, FNDM brings together anime, gaming, collectibles, toys, trading cards, K-pop and pop culture in one high-energy celebration designed around the communities at the heart of fandom.

The demand is already building, with Early Bird tickets sold out and Standard tickets now on sale from AED 75. Ticket prices set to increase from 31 October, fans are being encouraged to book early and save before tickets sell out.

One of the biggest draws this year will be Yuki Matsuoka (松岡 由貴), FNDM’s first Japanese voice actor announcement for the 2026 edition. Best known internationally as the voice of Orihime Inoue in BLEACH, Matsuoka has portrayed the character since the original anime and continues to reprise the role in BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War.

With a career spanning more than two decades, Matsuoka has become one of Japan’s recognisable anime and gaming voice talents, with credits including Ayumu “Osaka” Kasuga in Azumanga Daioh, Aiko Senoo in Ojamajo Doremi, Tsuruya in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Alisa Bosconovitch in the Tekken series. Her FNDM appearance gives fans the opportunity to meet the voice behind one of BLEACH’s most beloved characters.

Across two days, fans will be at the centre of the action, with cosplay, trading card games, K-pop and community-led experiences bringing FNDM to life. From the Cosplay Fusion Competition and K-Pop Random Play Dance on 31 October to the Cosplay Catwalk and Pokémon TCG action on 1 November, FNDM will give the community their own space to compete, perform and celebrate together.

For Pokémon fans, Sunday will bring a particularly big moment, with FNDM set to host the Largest Pokémon Pack Battle, turning one of the world’s most recognisable trading card games into a shared experience for fans on the show floor.

Adding to the live entertainment, Dunkin Off Record, the evolution of the previously
announced FNDM Unplugged, will bring a new live format, exhibiting local and regional musicians.

Fandom is about that feeling of finding your people and living your passion” said Loy Pinheiro, Show Director of FNDM Dubai. “Whether you’re deep into anime, chasing your favourite Pokémon, One Piece or Union Arena TCG cards, living for K-pop, rocking a cosplay that stops the room, grinding through your favourite video game, or discovering something new, FNDM Dubai is where those pop culture worlds are truly celebrated and where they come alive via local talent. We’ve watched our community grow year after year, and after the incredible response to MEFCC with 60,000 visitors over 3 days, we can’t wait to bring that same energy back to Dubai. FNDM Dubai is a declaration that pop culture is one of the most powerful forces how people connect today, and we’re just getting started.”

Standard tickets are on sale from AED 75, with prices increasing from 31 October.
