Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National Drug Enforcement Authority, visited EDGE Group’s headquarters to explore the company’s latest technological innovations and advanced defence capabilities.
During the visit, Sheikh Zayed was welcomed by Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of EDGE Group, alongside senior officials.
The Chairman received an overview of EDGE Group’s strategic vision, technological achievements and efforts to strengthen the UAE’s national capabilities. Discussions also highlighted the company’s growing presence in regional and international markets.
Sheikh Zayed was introduced to a range of advanced solutions developed by the Group, including intelligent defence systems, surveillance and monitoring technologies, artificial intelligence-powered applications and digital innovations designed for military and civilian purposes.
The visit also provided insights into EDGE Group’s ongoing investments in research, development and innovation, particularly its efforts to advance locally developed technologies and strengthen the UAE’s industrial capabilities.
Additionally, Sheikh Zayed reviewed the Group’s initiatives to develop Emirati talent and equip national professionals with specialised skills in advanced technology sectors.
These initiatives support the UAE’s broader ambitions to strengthen domestic industries, enhance technological self-reliance and build a highly skilled national workforce capable of supporting future innovation and industrial growth.
