The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) has stepped up its community engagement and family awareness initiatives as part of the UAE’s Year of the Family 2026, introducing a range of educational programmes and interactive activities designed to strengthen family relationships and promote social stability.
The initiatives reflect the department’s commitment to supporting family cohesion, encouraging positive communication and raising awareness of the values that contribute to a stable and connected society.
During the first nine months of 2026, ADJD delivered 27 episodes of its weekly Happy Home radio programme, broadcast on Abu Dhabi Holy Qur’an Radio. The programme explored various family-related issues, offering practical guidance and educational messages to encourage healthier relationships and stronger family bonds.
The department also organised seven interactive workshops for employees of national companies, highlighting the importance of family stability and its positive influence on workplace wellbeing and productivity.
As part of its Majalisna (Our Councils) initiative, ADJD conducted seven awareness lectures at councils across Abu Dhabi. These sessions focused on strengthening family values, encouraging responsible behaviour and promoting greater understanding of the principles that support social harmony.
Community outreach activities extended beyond traditional awareness programmes. To mark the International Day of Families, the department organised five days of family-focused events at shopping malls in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
The celebrations featured interactive activities, panel discussions, community consultations and educational games designed to improve communication between family members and encourage meaningful participation.
ADJD also participated in the Sheikh Zayed Festival, using the event as an opportunity to connect directly with families and provide counselling services. The initiative highlighted the importance of protecting family relationships and maintaining stable households as essential foundations of a cohesive society.
Through its expanding community programmes, educational workshops and public engagement activities, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department continues to promote family wellbeing and social awareness.
The department’s approach places particular emphasis on dialogue, mutual understanding and positive family interactions, supporting the wider objectives of the Year of the Family 2026 and reinforcing the family’s role in building a resilient and interconnected community.
