Abu Dhabi has introduced a new digital platform aimed at strengthening supply chain continuity and supporting trade operations across the emirate and the wider UAE.
The Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), in collaboration with 7X, has launched ADEED – the UAE Supply Chain Support Platform – as part of efforts to enhance business continuity amid evolving regional and global economic conditions.
The initiative is designed to provide businesses with greater visibility over supply chains while ensuring the smooth movement of materials, industrial inputs, and export-linked goods. By leveraging market insights and operational coordination, the platform aims to safeguard trade flows and maintain production stability.
7X will play a key operational role by responding to supply chain requirements identified through ADEED, offering integrated logistics solutions across air, land, and sea. The platform also supports fulfilment services both domestically and internationally.
The initiative brings together a network of strategic partners, including the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI), Abu Dhabi Customs, and the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (ADQCC). This coordinated ecosystem is intended to address potential disruptions and strengthen supply chain efficiency.
Each partner contributes specialised capabilities, from economic planning and trade facilitation to customs management and quality assurance. The collaboration ensures businesses have access to reliable suppliers, streamlined logistics, and regulatory support.
At the core of ADEED is an AI-powered system that provides actionable insights into trade and supply chain operations. The platform enables users to identify gaps, submit requests, and connect with relevant logistics and trade experts, supporting faster and more informed decision-making.
Supply chain challenges are channelled through the ADCCI Trade Working Group, where requests are monitored and addressed through coordinated action by partner entities.
Mohamed Ali Al Kamali, Chief of Industry and Trade at ADIO, said the platform reflects the UAE’s proactive approach to strengthening economic resilience and supporting the manufacturing sector through real-time data and guidance.
Tariq Al Wahedi, Group CEO of 7X, highlighted the importance of public-private collaboration in ensuring long-term supply chain stability, noting that ADEED enables faster, coordinated responses to business needs.
The launch of ADEED aligns with Abu Dhabi’s broader strategy to reinforce its position as a global hub for trade, manufacturing, and investment, while supporting businesses in expanding locally and internationally.
