The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (ADQCC) has unveiled Mawthooq, a new integrated digital platform designed to manage delegated and accredited laboratories across the emirate, reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s commitment to quality assurance, digital transformation, and economic competitiveness.
The launch represents a significant step in enhancing the emirate’s quality infrastructure by improving the reliability of testing and inspection services while supporting Abu Dhabi’s ambition to become a leading regional centre for quality standards and digital innovation.
Mawthooq forms part of ADQCC’s broader strategy to modernise government services and streamline laboratory management processes. The platform also aims to increase awareness among regulatory bodies, government entities, businesses, and the wider community about the importance of conducting testing through the council’s Central Testing Laboratory or laboratories officially delegated by the council.
By strengthening oversight and compliance, the initiative is expected to boost confidence in the safety and quality of products and services available in the market, particularly within key sectors including construction, manufacturing, healthcare, and environmental services.
The digital platform automates a wide range of laboratory-related procedures, including delegation applications, renewals, accreditation tracking, audit management, non-conformity reporting, payment processing, and other electronic services.
In addition, Mawthooq features interactive dashboards, statistical reporting tools, a comprehensive service directory, and more than ten specialised digital services designed to help laboratories meet international quality and efficiency standards. The platform also promotes greater transparency, data sharing, and collaboration among stakeholders.
Eng. Fahad Gharib Al-Shamsi, Acting Secretary-General of ADQCC, said the platform marks an important milestone in the development of Abu Dhabi’s quality ecosystem and reflects the council’s commitment to advancing digital transformation and strengthening the investment environment.
He noted that Mawthooq will improve operational efficiency within the laboratory sector, simplify procedures, and enhance the credibility of testing results, helping to build greater confidence among investors and industry partners.
Meanwhile, Eng. Bader Khamis Al-Shmeili, Executive Director of the Conformity and Standards Services Sector at ADQCC, described the platform as a major advancement in laboratory service management, providing a unified digital solution that connects the council, laboratories, and government entities through a single system.
The launch of Mawthooq aligns with Abu Dhabi’s efforts to further develop its testing and quality infrastructure, supporting the UAE’s vision of building a knowledge-driven economy powered by innovation, quality, and sustainable growth.
