Abu Dhabi Set for a Vibrant Tourist Season with Eco and Cultural Experiences

Abu Dhabi is gearing up for an action-packed tourism season with a rich lineup of cultural, recreational, and eco-tourism experiences across the emirate. From Al Ain’s newly developed Wadi Al Sarouj Forest to the much-anticipated “Taste of Abu Dhabi” festival on Hudayriyat Island, residents and visitors can look forward to a diverse calendar of attractions that celebrate nature, fitness, and community spirit.

Wadi Al Sarouj: Al Ain’s Green Escape

Al Ain Municipality has unveiled the Wadi Al Sarouj Forest project, designed to transform one of the city’s most scenic natural areas into a sustainable leisure destination. Spanning 1.8 hectares and featuring more than 5,600 native trees including sidr, ghaf, samr, and neem the forest highlights the emirate’s commitment to balancing urban development with environmental preservation.

The project introduces a 7,000-square-metre artificial lake, 50 shaded seating areas, and a 9,500-square-metre network of walkways, illuminated by 260 solar-powered lights for eco-friendly evening strolls. Visitors can also enjoy bicycle rentals, sustainable workshops, and a 900-metre sandy trail surrounded by Al Ain’s natural beauty.

For the second consecutive year, the forest will host “Souq Sabea”, a vibrant community market that last year attracted 26,000 visitors and showcased products from 1,800 local entrepreneurs, reinforcing Al Ain’s reputation as a thriving hub for eco-tourism and community engagement.

Hudayriyat Island: Fitness, Fun, and Food

In Abu Dhabi city, Hudayriyat Island will take centre stage with an exciting range of sports, wellness, and entertainment events this November. The much-loved “Taste of Abu Dhabi” festival returns, featuring top restaurants, celebrity chefs, live music, and family-friendly food experiences.

At 321 Sports Village, thrill-seekers can take part in the “321 Enduro Challenge”, testing endurance and teamwork through a 2×1,200-metre run and seven fitness stations. Other highlights include beach fitness sessions at Bab Al Nojoum, the “Savage Mile Challenge”, and “Serene Flow” Pilates workshops for those seeking mindful movement and balance.

Athletes and trainers can join the “Exos Performance Mentorship”, a four-day programme focused on advanced, science-based athletic training. Meanwhile, Surf Abu Dhabi will debut the UAE’s first community surfing experience, welcoming both professionals and beginners.

Family Adventures and Community Spirit

The season also features the Ladies Cycling Series, with two new themed rides in November, and family-focused attractions at Circuit X, including a BMX competition, Treasure Hunters Challenge for kids, and free zipline rides during National Day weekend.

Eco-conscious families can explore hands-on activities at Marsana Beach and Circuit X Splash Park, such as the “Plant and Shine” workshop that teaches sustainable gardening using recycled materials.

With its blend of adventure, culture, and sustainability, Abu Dhabi’s 2025 tourism season promises to deliver unforgettable experiences that reflect the emirate’s commitment to wellness, community, and environmental harmony.
