ADIB partners with Cloudera for data migration push to Azure

For sustained growth and innovation

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), the Emirati financial institution with approximately $58 billion in assets, has successfully migrated its Cloudera data management platform from on-premises infrastructure to the Azure public cloud as part of its digital transformation strategy.

The move to the Cloudera Public Cloud Platform on Azure modernises ADIB’s data operations and enhances cost efficiency, flexibility, and scalability. With the upgrade, ADIB is poised to efficiently manage increasing data demands and adapt to evolving business needs, paving the way for sustained growth and innovation.

Cloudera Public Cloud Platform offers a scalable, secure environment for managing and analysing big data. It integrates Cloudera’s data management tools with cloud infrastructure, enabling organisations to leverage cloud-native services for enhanced flexibility, performance, and cost-efficiency. This platform supports diverse analytics workloads and seamless data operations in the cloud.

Cloud-based solutions

Cloudera’s advanced data management and analytics tools are crucial in ADIB’s efforts to improve consumer experiences and deliver exceptional banking services.

Data-driven enterprise

The upgraded Cloudera platform on Azure equips ADIB with comprehensive data analytics and management tools, supporting its vision of becoming a leading data-driven enterprise in the UAE’s banking sector.

Azure Public Cloud is Microsoft’s cloud computing service that provides many cloud-based solutions. It offers scalable computing resources, including virtual machines, databases, and storage, as well as advanced services such as artificial intelligence, analytics, and IoT.

Azure supports various operating systems, programming languages, and frameworks, allowing businesses to build, deploy, and manage applications through Microsoft’s global network of data centres. It emphasises flexibility, security, and integration with existing Microsoft products and services.
