ADNOC is continuing to invest in the development of Emirati youth by strengthening their technical, digital and leadership skills, supporting the UAE’s long-term economic growth and the future of the energy sector.

The company is advancing its national talent development strategy through several specialised initiatives, including the ADNOC Technical Academy, ADNOC Trading Academy, AI Accelerator Programme and the ADNOC Accelerator Programme – RO’YA.

These programmes provide young Emiratis with practical experience, specialised training and future-ready capabilities across different areas of the energy value chain.

Since its establishment in 1978, the ADNOC Technical Academy has graduated more than 6,000 UAE nationals, while around 1,500 trainees are currently enrolled across its campuses.

The academy continues to update its curriculum to reflect the changing needs of the energy industry, combining core technical disciplines with artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies.

As part of its efforts to expand opportunities for Emirati women, the academy will welcome the first group of participants in its Female Technician Diploma Programme in September 2026.

The initiative, announced during ADNOC’s Emirati Women’s Day event, is designed to create new career pathways for Emirati women in technical roles across the energy industry.

ADNOC is also strengthening national expertise in energy commodities trading through its Trading Academy. Since 2020, more than 40 young Emiratis have completed the academy’s training programmes, while over 50 UAE nationals have graduated and moved into roles within ADNOC’s trading businesses.

In the technology sector, ADNOC is developing Emirati capabilities in artificial intelligence and digital innovation. Nearly 150 engineers graduated from the company’s AI Accelerator Programme in 2025, gaining experience in emerging technologies that are increasingly shaping the energy industry.

ADNOC’s investment in national talent also begins at an earlier stage through the ADNOC Accelerator Programme – RO’YA, implemented in partnership with Khalifa University and United Arab Emirates University.

The company also supports the Young Coders Programme for the Nation in collaboration with 42 Abu Dhabi.

More than 450 students from 30 schools have participated in the Young Coders Programme, gaining exposure to coding and artificial intelligence.

The initiative aims to develop a new generation of technology-enabled Emirati talent capable of creating AI-powered solutions for the energy industry while contributing to ADNOC’s growth and the UAE’s competitiveness in the global economy.
