Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has joined the global SWIFT network after establishing its Business Identifier Code (BIC), ADSEAEADXXX, marking another step in the development of its post-trade infrastructure and international connectivity.
The integration will allow ADX to exchange secure, standardised and internationally recognised financial messages with custodians, central securities depositories (CSDs), international central securities depositories (ICSDs) and other market participants worldwide.
ADX said the move is expected to improve cross-border connectivity and make interactions with global financial institutions more efficient, supporting international investors seeking streamlined access to the UAE’s capital markets.
The SWIFT connection will also provide infrastructure for future market initiatives, helping strengthen interoperability, operational efficiency and access between ADX and international financial markets.
Joining the network forms part of ADX’s broader strategy to expand its global reach and deepen relationships with international institutions and investors.
The development also supports Abu Dhabi’s wider efforts to strengthen its position as an international financial centre and attract greater participation from global capital markets.
