Award Winning Ed-Tech Company Launches UAE Wellbeing Surveys to Support Schools in Enhancing Student and Teacher Wellbeing

Peekapak, an award-winning edtech company and wellbeing platform that offers social emotional learning curriculum (SEL) across K12 schools in the UAE, US, and Canada, has launched its UAE Wellbeing Surveys, a validated and research-backed set of tools to help schools measure, monitor, and improve student and teacher wellbeing.

These tools are designed in alignment with the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) Wellbeing Policy, Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) Wellbeing Framework and Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) Wellbeing Improvement Framework. It also supports the UAE’s commitment to nurturing positive, high-performing learning environments as part of UAE Vision 2031 and the National Wellbeing Strategy.

Recently validated across 20 UAE schools, representing over 2,000 students and educators, the surveys provide actionable and data-driven insights into student and teacher wellbeing, enabling leaders to track wellbeing indicators, monitor school climate, and guide improvement initiatives.

Following this validation, Peekapak has already been adopted by 50% of Abu Dhabi charter schools and also works with prominent institutions such as Cranleigh Abu Dhabi. The platform supports administrators and school leaders in making informed decisions that strengthen wellbeing strategies and foster a positive, supportive learning environment.

“Our surveys being adopted by schools in the UAE is a key milestone for us as it supports schools with data-driven insights into their students’ and teachers’ wellbeing, that enables both reflection and action,” said Ami Shah, CEO and Co-Founder of Peekapak. “With these new surveys, we’re helping UAE schools translate wellbeing data into real-world improvements that support both students and teachers, and empower leaders to create more effective learning environments. Our vision is to make wellbeing measurable, actionable, and meaningful for every school leader, and together, we’re building schools where wellbeing isn’t just an initiative, it’s a way of life.”

According to internal data, Peekapak successfully piloted and validated its impact with ADEK charter schools in the 2023-2024 school year, transforming student behavior, emotional awareness, and school climate. Within months of implementation, schools saw a 29% improvement in stress management and a 32% improvement in time management and prioritization, with teachers reporting fewer conflicts and greater collaboration among students. Educators described students as more reflective, empathetic, and able to communicate their emotions effectively, creating a noticeably calmer and more supportive learning environment.

With the launch of these surveys, Peekapak reinforces its commitment to supporting the UAE’s education sector by placing wellbeing at the heart of student success, providing leaders with the tools they need to make data-driven decisions that enhance the educational experience and helping schools to build positive learning environments that foster growth, resilience, and achievement.

Moreover, under its Takween Al Ghurair program, the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation (AGF) has partnered with Peekapak to advance youth wellbeing across the UAE by integrating evidence-based and emotional learning tools into school environments. As the region’s leading philanthropic foundation dedicated to education, AGF supports efforts that strengthen student readiness, improve learning ecosystems, and contribute to the UAE’s broader human capital development agenda. Through this collaboration, AGF has helped expand Peekapak’s reach from 1,300 to nearly 7,000 students.

Its participation in Techstars’ Anjal Z Founder Catalyst program and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Innovation Fund (MBRIF) has also accelerated its growth in the UAE and its capacity to support schools nationwide to deepen its local presence.

Peekapak’s impact and innovation in nurturing wellbeing and purpose in education have also been recognized globally with notable achievements including being selected as a GESS Awards Finalist for “Best Product to Promote Wellbeing”, as well as finalists for the QS Reimagine Education Nurturing Wellbeing & Purpose Award and the Mentl Awards 2025 for “Innovation in Education”.

Currently operating in the UAE, US and Canada, Peekapak’s programs are offered for elementary schools, middle schools, high schools and professional development for adults and is designed for educators, counselors, administrators and operators for improving wellbeing in educational  environments.
