Cloudera showcases next-gen AI and cloud solutions
To boost the Middle East’s digital transformation
Cloudera is showcasing its groundbreaking AI and cloud solutions at GITEX Global 2024, the world’s largest tech and startup event, from October 14 to 18 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).
Karim Azar, Cloudera’s Regional Vice President for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa, leads the region’s digital transformation enterprise solutions initiative for Cloudera. He believes hybrid cloud solutions are crucial for driving new business models and improving operational efficiency.
“Our presence at GITEX Global 2024 highlights our commitment to empowering local enterprises to fully leverage their data through our innovative hybrid platform and AI technologies,” Azar added.
As industries in the Middle East increasingly adopt AI and cloud technologies, Cloudera aims to address their unique needs for scalable, secure, and efficient data management while tackling pressing challenges such as data sovereignty and compliance risks.
The Middle East’s digital economy is rapidly growing, with organisations harnessing hybrid cloud environments to boost productivity, comply with regulations, and maximise data value.
For instance, a Cloudera study reveals that 71% of regional organisations currently utilise public cloud services, and 86% plan to expand their cloud data usage in the coming years, motivated by the need for flexibility and enhanced security.
GITEX Global 2024 launchpad
At GITEX Global 2024, Cloudera is introducing its latest innovations, featuring the Cloudera AI Inference Service, part of the NVIDIA AI Enterprise platform. With its remarkable speed and efficiency, this service is set to significantly accelerate the deployment and management of large-scale AI models, inspiring a new era of AI-driven applications in the Middle East.
Among the critical innovations highlighted at GITEX Global 2024 is the Cloudera AI Inference, which utilises NVIDIA’s Tensor Core GPUs and integrated NIM microservices. This service delivers four times the throughput of traditional CPUs for large language models, facilitating the swift creation of AI-driven applications such as chatbots and virtual assistants.
Cloudera’s Open Data Lakehouse architecture, which blends the adaptability of data lakes with the efficiency of data warehouses, further enhances management capabilities across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Additionally, the company emphasises security and governance, offering enterprise-grade features that prioritise privacy through access control, auditing, and lineage management.
Hybrid cloud environment
Furthermore, Cloudera continues to promote its vision of a hybrid cloud environment through a unified data, analytics, and AI platform, allowing organisations to move data and workloads effortlessly between on-premises and cloud settings. This approach ensures compliance with local data regulations while maintaining security and scalability.
As industries across the Middle East accelerate their adoption of AI and cloud solutions, Cloudera is well-positioned to tackle pressing challenges such as data sovereignty and compliance risks.
Cloudera hosted the Middle East edition of its highly anticipated EVOLVE 24 series at the Museum of the Future in Dubai on September 12, 2024.
Deloitte’s latest findings indicate that while regional organisations are boosting their AI budgets, compliance and governance concerns remain significant hurdles. In this regard, Cloudera’s platform offers a reliable and private AI deployment solution, helping businesses navigate these challenges.
Cloudera’s Hybrid Control Plane is also being showcased at GITEX Global 2024. It provides a comprehensive overview for businesses to monitor, govern, and optimise their hybrid deployments. This unified approach aids Middle Eastern enterprises in managing the complexities of hybrid cloud environments, ensuring operational continuity and increased agility.
Attendees at GITEX can visit Cloudera at stand H9-A10, Hall 9, DWTC, to engage in live demonstrations, attend expert-led sessions, and interact with Cloudera professionals to gain valuable insights into transforming data into actionable strategies.
