Residents across the UAE can look forward to cooler, more comfortable weather as the country transitions into the winter season. According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), temperatures are expected to fall significantly this week, with a chance of light rainfall in some regions.
In Sharjah, temperatures are forecast to dip to a pleasant 23°C, while Abu Dhabi will see lows of around 24°C and Dubai 26°C a refreshing change from the 40°C highs endured over the summer months.
The NCM has issued a yellow alert for fog, cautioning motorists about reduced visibility, especially in some western coastal and internal areas, until 9am on Tuesday, October 28. The weather authority also predicts fair to partly cloudy skies, with potential rainfall over eastern and southern areas due to convective cloud activity.
Humidity levels are expected to rise during the night and early morning hours, particularly along coastal and internal regions, increasing the likelihood of mist formation.
Looking ahead, experts forecast that November will usher in milder conditions, with daytime temperatures staying below 30°C. By December, nighttime temperatures could drop to as low as 15°C, marking the start of the UAE’s winter season, said Ibrahim Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Emirates Astronomy Society.
Winds will remain light to moderate, blowing from the northeast to northwest at 10–20km/h, occasionally reaching 35km/h. Both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to stay calm.
