Dubai, UAE — February 2026 — In a strategic move to bolster the emirate’s social entrepreneurship landscape, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce has formalized a partnership with the Dubai Community Contributions Establishment to provide targeted support for local startups and small businesses focused on sustainability.
The Memorandum of Understanding, signed by the two entities, is designed to help purpose-driven ventures launch and scale their operations by leveraging private-sector and community funding.
According to the Emirates News Agency, the collaboration will utilize JOOD’s digital platforms, which specialize in the collection, management, and disbursement of contributions under strict governance and compliance protocols, ensuring that financial support reaches impactful projects efficiently.
Maha Al Gargawi, vice president of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, emphasized that the agreement is a key step toward constructing an integrated ecosystem for social entrepreneurship in the city.
By connecting innovative projects with essential funding and resources, the initiative aims to cement Dubai’s status as a global hub for responsible business practices while advancing the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda.
CEO of the JOOD platform, Marwan Rashed BinHashim, highlighted the role of technology in driving social change. “Through our platforms, we aim to provide transparent, accessible, and trusted channels to support initiatives and projects that address real community needs, and to enable social entrepreneurs to transform their ideas into tangible and sustainable impact,” he stated.
The partnership outlines a framework for cooperation on joint initiatives that promote positive environmental and social outcomes.
Key areas of focus include facilitating access to opportunities, encouraging stakeholder engagement through coordinated awareness campaigns, and exchanging public data to enhance transparency.
Both parties will also pool their resources and communication channels to mobilize broader support for agreed-upon causes.
The MoU aligns directly with the goals of the D33 agenda, which aims to double the size of Dubai’s economy over the next decade by fostering sustainable economic growth and innovation.
