Dubai Chambers, DHL Express sign deal to help local firms expand globally

Dubai, UAE – Oct. 2026 – Dubai Chambers has signed a memorandum of understanding with DHL Express to help Dubai-based companies expand into international markets and improve their global competitiveness.

The agreement aims to widen local firms’ access to overseas markets and support their export activities through logistics and commercial solutions, along with preferential shipping rates and services.

Under the deal, DHL Express will offer Dubai Chamber of Commerce members preferential shipping rates and customized commercial packages tailored to their business needs, as well as promotional onboarding incentives. The services will include international express shipping, customs clearance support, shipment tracking and cross-border trade advisory.

The partnership also covers DHL’s GoTrade Programme, which will be made available to small and medium-sized enterprises within the Dubai Chambers membership network through training and capability-building activities. Cooperation will extend to trade facilitation services and customs advisory support to ease the movement of goods across borders.

Khalid AlJarwan, executive vice president of commercial and corporate services at Dubai Chambers, said the organization is committed to strengthening the capabilities of the local private sector so it can benefit from growth opportunities in global markets.

“We work to facilitate companies’ access to international markets and partners, while providing them with the tools and solutions required to efficiently address the requirements of cross-border trade,” he said. “This contributes to enhancing the efficiency and competitiveness of the local business community.”

Mahmoud Haj Hussein, managing director of DHL Express UAE, said Dubai’s ambition to become a leading global trade hub depends on the ability of its businesses to compete and succeed internationally.

“At DHL Express, we see our role as more than connecting markets; we are enabling businesses to access new opportunities and accelerate their global growth,” he said. “Our partnership with Dubai Chambers brings together our global reach, logistics expertise, and GoTrade programme to empower local businesses, strengthen their competitiveness, and contribute to the ambitions of Dubai’s D33 Economic Agenda.”

Dubai Chambers plays a key role in supporting the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which seeks to double the size of the emirate’s economy by 2033 and consolidate its position among the world’s top three global cities.

The chambers focus on enhancing the competitiveness of the business environment, attracting global companies and investments, supporting the international expansion of local firms, and accelerating the growth of Dubai’s digital economy.
