Dubai City gets 2 new circular public bus routes

For key residential and commercial areas

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched two new circular bus routes, DH1 and DA2, to boost Dubai City’s public transportation network.

Introducing these routes signifies Dubai RTA’s effort to enhance connectivity between key residential and commercial areas and major transit hubs in the Gulf emirate.

DH1, the first of the newly unveiled services, operates between Dubai Hills and Equity metro station. This circular route runs at one-hour intervals, facilitating commuter travel between the two locations.

Starting from Dubai Hills at 7:09am., the service operates until 10:09pm on weekdays and extends its schedule until 12:09am on weekends (Friday to Sunday).

DA2, the second route, connects Damac Hills with Dubai Studio City. Operating with a frequency of every two hours, this circular service caters to those commuting between these two areas.

The service commences operations from Damac Hills at 5:47am and concludes operations at 9:32pm. A fixed fare of AED5 per journey ensures affordability and accessibility for passengers utilising this route, empowering them economically.

Adel Mohammed Shakeri, Director of Planning and Business Development at Dubai RTA’s Public Transport Agency, emphasised the importance of these new routes in enhancing the public transport experience across Dubai.

He highlighted a commitment to providing efficient and integrated transport solutions that complement Dubai’s existing metro, tram, and marine transport services.

The launch of DH1 and DA2 is part of Dubai RTA’s broader initiative to expand the public bus network and strengthen connections with various modes of mass transit, facilitating smoother and more convenient travel experiences for Dubai’s residents and visitors alike.

This strategic enhancement underscores RTA’s dedication to making public transportation the preferred choice for mobility throughout Dubai emirate, assuring the audience.
