Dubai is set to host the 21st Annual Gulf Insurance Forum on October 26, 2026, bringing together more than 200 CEOs, insurance professionals, and reinsurance experts from 25 Arab and international countries.
The two-day event, held under the theme “Redefining Insurability: Risk, Capital, and Trust in a Systemic World,” will explore emerging challenges and opportunities in the insurance sector, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and risk management.
A key highlight of the forum will be the growing influence of AI on the insurance industry. Experts will examine how technological advancements are transforming economic systems, business operations, and decision-making processes while creating new opportunities and risks for insurers.
The forum will also showcase the UAE’s strategic initiatives to strengthen its position as a regional and global centre for AI innovation, technological development, and talent attraction.
Discussions will address emerging cyber threats, AI-related insurance risks, legal liabilities, and operational challenges. Industry leaders will explore how insurers can adapt their policies and risk assessment practices to respond to these developments.
Several panel discussions will focus on major challenges facing the Gulf insurance market, including reinsurance capacity during market volatility, natural catastrophe risks across the GCC, underwriting practices, and reinsurance pricing.
Participants will also examine the financial impact of reinsurance, strategies for improving solvency and financial stability, and the changing relationship between insurance companies and reinsurers.
The forum is expected to provide a platform for industry professionals to exchange insights, strengthen regional cooperation, and explore effective approaches to risk retention and transfer across GCC markets.
