The Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy has launched a range of sports, cultural and community initiatives, including a summer camp for children and expanded access to sports facilities for women, as part of its efforts to promote healthy lifestyles and lifelong learning.
The programmes are being held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, widely known as the Mother of the Nation, and under the guidance of Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy.
Running from July 13 to August 6, 2026, the academy’s “Discovering Talent” summer camp is being hosted at its Abu Dhabi headquarters. The programme is open to girls aged 4 to 10 and boys aged 4 to 8, offering a mix of sports, educational and recreational activities.
Participants will take part in basketball, volleyball, football and martial arts sessions, alongside entertainment activities and educational workshops designed to help children develop skills, discover their talents and remain active in a safe environment.
The academy has also inaugurated the Fatima Bint Mubarak Sports Academy Library, featuring publications from the Fatima bint Hazza Cultural Foundation and dedicated knowledge hubs. The facility aims to encourage reading, lifelong learning, cultural awareness and creativity while strengthening national identity.
Supporting the UAE’s Year of the Family initiative, the academy is also providing women with access to its sports facilities in Abu Dhabi, including a running track, football pitch and padel court, encouraging greater participation in fitness and recreational activities.
Shamsa Saif Al Hanaee, Board Member of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, said the latest initiatives reflect the academy’s commitment to empowering women while expanding community engagement through sports and culture.
She said the academy is focused on creating an integrated environment that combines sport, education, culture and entertainment through sustainable programmes inspired by the vision of the Mother of the Nation to prepare future generations and support families.
Al Hanaee added that the summer camp and related community programmes also provide opportunities to identify young talent, strengthen teamwork and promote values such as self-confidence, discipline and commitment.
