Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA) has introduced a new weekend public bus service, the Yellow Route, expanding mobility across the emirate as part of its Transport Master Plan 2030.
The service is designed to give residents and tourists a safe, reliable, and affordable way to reach some of Ras Al Khaimah’s most popular destinations.
Route and Schedule
The Yellow Route connects Al Jazirah Al Hamra to Jebel Jais, passing through Al Marjan Island and stopping at major hotels and key attractions along the way.
The service operates Friday to Sunday, starting 28 November 2025 and running until April 2026.
Buses depart every three hours from 6am to 9pm, with the first trip beginning at Al Jazirah Al Hamra and the final return trip leaving Jebel Jais at 9pm.

The 14-stop route serves several prominent hotels, including:
- Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort
- Waldorf Astoria
- Rixos Bab Al Bahr
- Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island
- Pullman Resort Al Marjan Island
- Rove Al Marjan Island
- Hampton by Hilton, among others
It also connects passengers to Jebel Jais landmarks such as:
- ADNOC Jebel Jais
- Bear Grylls Explorers Camp
- SAIJ Mountain Lodge
- Jais Viewing Deck Park
- 1484 by Puro restaurant
Enhanced Passenger Experience
All Yellow Route buses feature modern onboard technology and free Wi-Fi. The service is supported by real-time tracking through RAKTA’s Smart Control and Monitoring Centre, trip updates via the Sayr app, and electronic payment options, ensuring a smooth and convenient travel experience.
