Nicolas Luchsinger appointed new CEO of Buccellati

Incumbent CEO concludes 10-year term at the helm

In a significant leadership shift, Buccellati, the renowned high-jewellery brand, is set to welcome Nicolas Luchsinger as its new CEO, effective April 2, 2024.

Currently serving as the Asia-Pacific President at Van Cleef and Arpels, Luchsinger brings a wealth of experience, boasting 17 years with Van Cleef and Arpels, where he held various key roles, including Retail Director and Heritage Director at both headquarters and market levels.

Before his tenure at Van Cleef and Arpels, Luchsinger spent a decade at Christie’s, further enhancing his expertise in the luxury and auction sectors.

The transition will see Gianluca Brozzetti, the incumbent CEO of Buccellati, conclude his 10-year term at the helm.

However, Brozzetti will remain pivotal as he assumes the position of Executive Vice President and Board Director at Buccellati Holding Italia Spa.

Stellar role

His contribution to the growth and integration of the Buccellati Group into Richemont in 2019 has been instrumental in solidifying the brand’s standing as a prominent player in the global jewellery and silver market.

Brozzetti will facilitate a handover to Luchsinger and retain direct oversight of the manufacturing expansion and consolidation project in his new capacity.

Additionally, he will continue representing Buccellati in industry associations and uphold partnerships with entities such as Scuola Orafa Ambrosiana.

Buccellati, recognised for its exceptional artisanry and unique creations, has earned acclaim for using rare stones with white and yellow gold, intricately carved like laces.

The brand’s jewellery is characterised by hand-engraving techniques rooted in the ancient goldsmithing traditions of the Italian Renaissance. The collections draw inspiration from historical archive drawings and the inaugural creations of founder Mario Buccellati.

While now owned by Richemont, the Buccellati family maintains a prominent presence within the company, holding top-level managerial positions.

Buccellati boutiques are strategically positioned in major cities and prestigious malls worldwide, further solidifying its status as a global luxury brand.
