The nominal value of the plates stood at AED16.565 million, but the final tally surged to AED98.83 million, highlighting the strong demand for distinctive vehicle numbers in Dubai.
This record-breaking session underscores the commercial success of Dubai RTA’s auction model, both open and online, rooted in fairness, transparency, and equal opportunity. This model enables enthusiasts to acquire number plates of symbolic and personal significance.
Interested bidders registered through Dubai RTA’s website, the Authority’s app, or by visiting the Authority’s Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Ramool, Deira, and Al Barsha.
All sales were subject to a 5% VAT. To participate, bidders were required to hold a Dubai traffic file and submit a security deposit cheque of AED25,000 made payable to Dubai’s RTA, along with a non-refundable registration fee of AED120. Payments were also accepted via credit card through the website and mobile app.
