NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) has announced the opening of applications for its Summer Research Programme 2026, inviting undergraduate students to take part in faculty-led research projects during an intensive eight-week residency on campus.
The in-person programme is open to students from New York University in New York, NYU Shanghai, as well as universities across the UAE. It offers participants the opportunity to work directly with NYUAD faculty members on active research initiatives while collaborating with peers from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds.
Designed to strengthen research engagement and academic exchange, the programme provides hands-on experience across a wide range of disciplines. Students will contribute to ongoing projects within NYUAD’s expanding research ecosystem, gaining practical exposure in a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment.
Farhana Goha, Director of the Visiting Students Programme and Student Research at NYUAD, said initiatives like the Summer Research Programme play a key role in building strong research communities. She noted that visiting students are able to engage meaningfully in research while benefiting from the diverse perspectives that define the university’s academic landscape.
Applications for the Summer 2026 intake will close on 27 February 2026, with all selected students required to attend the programme in person at the Abu Dhabi campus.
