With a landmark centre in Dubai Healthcare City
Orchid Fertility – a premier reproductive health provider in the Middle East region – has officially launched its state-of-the-art patient-centred fertility facility in Dubai Healthcare City, reaffirming Dubai’s growing stature as a global destination for specialised healthcare.
The new centre prides itself on ‘Creating Miracles One Family at a Time,’ marking a significant advancement in bespoke fertility services. It merges cutting-edge medical technology with compassionate, holistic care—a hallmark of Orchid’s patient-first philosophy.
The opening ceremony on May 21, 2025, drew senior stakeholders, medical professionals, and dignitaries, including representatives from Dubai Healthcare City Authority and Waha Capital, Orchid’s key investment partner.
Dr Arpan David, CEO of Orchid Fertility, delivered an impassioned address that underscored the significance of the centre’s new home.

“When we were looking to relocate, Dubai Healthcare City was the natural choice. This ecosystem supports excellence in specialised medicine, and we are proud to be part of it,” he said. “We are not just moving locations; we are elevating our mission — to deliver ethical, empathetic, and evidence-based care using the most advanced infrastructure available.”
Next-generation fertility technology
The new Orchid Fertility facility has been purpose-built to the highest international standards and the latest Dubai Healthcare City Authority regulations. It features two state-of-the-art operating rooms, eight recovery beds, and some of the most advanced ultrasound diagnostic systems available in the Middle East region.
“These upgrades are not about prestige,” Dr David explained. “They empower us to make faster, more accurate diagnoses. Without clear insight into the problem, there can be no effective solution. This precision is what boosts our already outstanding success rates.”
The facility on the second floor, Block D, Ibn Sina Building 25, Dubai Healthcare City, also offers live embryo monitoring using advanced time-lapse imaging. Every patient benefits from this innovative approach, allowing embryologists to select the most viable embryos for transfer. “This is the secret sauce behind our results,” Dr David noted, adding that Orchid’s success rate is among the highest in the region.
Yet numbers alone do not define success for the team. “It’s not just percentages — it’s the joy, the laughter, the tears of happiness we witness when families finally hold their long-awaited child,” he said.
With infertility rates in the UAE affecting nearly one in five couples, the demand for specialised reproductive assistance has never been more urgent. Orchid’s expansion signals its readiness to meet this growing need with empathy and innovation.
Driving investment in healthcare excellence
Mohamed Hussain Al Nowais, Managing Director at Waha Capital, spoke on behalf of the firm that has been instrumental in Orchid’s growth since its inception in 2016.
“Orchid Fertility has built a reputation that truly sets it apart — not only in the UAE, but in the region,” Al Nowais remarked. “A 71% baby rate across all age groups places Orchid well above industry benchmarks. It’s not just about statistics, it’s about delivering life-changing outcomes for families.”

He described the launch of the new facility as a new chapter in a continuing journey. “This facility exemplifies Orchid’s commitment to excellence — infrastructure, patient experience, and medical innovation. Through our healthcare investment platform, Waha Health, we look forward to expanding Orchid’s presence in the UAE and internationally.”
Waha Capital’s vision includes scaling Orchid’s model of success across other cities in the UAE and potentially expanding into related healthcare verticals such as andrology and women’s health. Al Nowais concluded his remarks by expressing gratitude to the Dubai Healthcare City Authority for their support in realising this milestone.
Inside the Orchid family
Dr Dimitrios Kafetzis, Orchid Fertility’s Medical Director and Consultant in Reproductive Endocrinology, Fertility, and IVF Obstetrics and Gynaecology, offered heartfelt reflections and an emotional tribute to the team behind the clinic’s success.
“All of us here live and breathe Orchid. It’s more than a workplace — it’s a mission we believe in wholeheartedly,” he said.
He deeply appreciated the Orchid team, from embryologists and nurses to the administrative and cleaning staff. “No one comes to a fertility clinic casually. Every couple arrives with anxiety and hope in equal measure. The smallest gestures — a receptionist’s smile, a nurse’s empathy — often make the biggest difference,” Dr Kafetzis said.
Dr Kafetzis also honoured past team members who laid the foundation for what Orchid is today. “There was a time when we were only eight people, half of whom were nurses. They were as knowledgeable as any doctor, and we wouldn’t have survived those early years without them.”
Looking forward, Dr Kafetzis was unequivocal in his belief that Orchid’s work had only begun. “Now is the time to fly. We have to expand, not just geographically, but in scope. The world needs to see how good we are at what we do — and we must help more families achieve the dream of parenthood.”
Strategic move to a medical powerhouse
Dubai Healthcare City, long considered a regional beacon for medical excellence, is a fitting home for Orchid’s next growth phase. The move also aligns with Dubai’s broader vision to position itself as a hub for medical tourism and world-class treatment options across all specialisations.

The new Orchid Fertility centre is expected to attract UAE residents and international patients seeking top-tier fertility treatments in a supportive, culturally attuned environment. With rising infertility rates globally, Dubai stands to benefit economically and reputationally from such high-impact, high-quality healthcare offerings.
New standard for reproductive care
Orchid Fertility’s new headquarters is more than a clinic; it is a centre of hope. Every facility element — from architecture to advanced medical capabilities — has been designed with the patient journey in mind.
The centre’s multidisciplinary model integrates fertility medicine, diagnostics, holistic therapy, and emotional support. This aligns with Orchid’s ethos, which is that fertility care must be as human as it is scientific.

Orchid Fertility is accredited by the College of American Pathologists and Joint Commission International, globally recognised seals of excellence that reflect Orchid’s excellence in clinical practices, infrastructure, and operations.
As the ceremony concluded, guests and dignitaries toured the new facility, expressing pride in what had been accomplished and excitement about what lay ahead.
The message was clear for patients and partners alike: Orchid Fertility is ready to lead the next chapter in reproductive medicine, not just in Dubai, but across the Middle East and beyond.
