Platform Global 2025 Announces the Energy Transition Forum

The Energy Transition Forum at Platform Global 2025 has been announced and brings acute focus to the evolution of Energy as data centre campuses and factories deploy globally and its ability to service AI infrastructure.

Platform Global 2025, now in its 4th year, taking place at the Palais des Congrès, Antibes/Juan-les-Pins is an annual seminal conference for Investors and the leadership of data centres and covers risk, finance and investment, real estate and the energy transition.

The event values are based on high end networking – with 69% of C level delegates in 2024 – and curated content that outperforms any datacenter event in EMEA, provided by an exceptional academy of speakers. Those attending also experience the backdrop of the Mediterranean in the quiet resort town of Antibes.

As Grid infrastructure in the US and Europe is currently under-equipped to enable the growth in AI, the forum will address two mega themes:

1. Investment and Powering The Short Haul to 2030

The growth of data centres and the adoption of AI rely on the availability of electric power and the industry will need to identify interim energy solutions before the arrival of abundant and carbon free resources.

2. Longer Term Energy Prospects

Power generation needs to more than triple by 2050 and Energy companies need to reimagine and rebuild their stack, stimulated by net new, robust commercial demand, given that globally, economies are rapidly digitalizing. Energy generation investments remain critical to sustainable data center expansion which post-2030 could realise several viable alternative technologies including nuclear, solar and next gen battery solutions.

In this unique conversation of investors in energy transition and industry experts, sustainability-focused considerations will be high on the agenda for data centre financing and how to enable the transition to a decarbonised economy.

Platform Global is open for registration to Investors, the leadership of data centre organizations and companies engaged in the industry.
