Sharjah Media City (Shams) has unveiled a new initiative, “Enta Al Sanad”, aimed at empowering Emirati entrepreneurs to enter the media and content creation sector and transform creative ideas into sustainable businesses.

The initiative is part of Shams’ broader strategy to strengthen the UAE’s creative economy by offering practical and flexible solutions for aspiring business owners. It is designed to simplify the process of launching individual media ventures while supporting the growth of a dynamic entrepreneurship ecosystem in Sharjah.

The “Enta Al Sanad” package introduces customised licensing options tailored specifically for UAE nationals, allowing them to choose pathways that align with their business activities and goals. It also enables entrepreneurs to operate within a formal legal framework while benefiting from Shams’ integrated support services, helping them scale and develop their projects over time.

Rashid Abdulla Al Obad, Director General of Shams, said the initiative reflects the organisation’s commitment to nurturing national talent and addressing the challenges faced by first-time entrepreneurs in the creative industries.

He noted that the package provides simplified procedures and subsidised costs for obtaining an individual media licence, making it easier for Emiratis to turn their passion into viable enterprises.

Al Obad added that the initiative sends a strong message of confidence in the capabilities of the UAE’s youth, while also contributing to the long-term development of the country’s media sector.

Shams has invited UAE nationals interested in launching media or creative projects to take advantage of the initiative, which aims to support sustainable business creation and strengthen the national media landscape.
