Sukoon Insurance and Bupa Global bring Dubai together for the seventh edition of the Dubai Canal Run

Sukoon Insurance and Bupa Global are set to welcome over 2,000 participants to the seventh edition of the Dubai Canal Run on Sunday, 25 October 2026, at Al Safa Park, Dubai. Bringing together individuals, families, colleagues, customers, brokers and partners, the annual event champions the importance of physical activity, community connection and everyday steps towards better health and wellbeing.

Reflecting our purpose of helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world, the Dubai Canal Run encourages participants of all ages and fitness levels to embrace an active lifestyle. Whether taking on a personal challenge, participating in a first race or enjoying an active morning with family and friends, every step is an opportunity to move #OneStepCloser to a healthier future.

Now in its seventh year, the event continues to provide a platform for the community to come together through a shared commitment to wellbeing. Participants can choose from 3km, 5km and 10km routes, with a scenic course through the greenery of Al Safa Park, alongside the Dubai Canal. A family fun zone will also offer entertainment and activities, creating an inclusive and welcoming experience for participants and spectators alike.

Paul Uriarte, General Manager, Bupa Global Middle East said, “Our purpose is helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world. The Dubai Canal Run brings this purpose to life by encouraging people to prioritise their wellbeing and take positive steps towards a healthier future.

What makes this event particularly special is the way it brings people together – from families and colleagues to our customers, brokers and partners – to support one another and celebrate personal achievement. Whether someone is taking part in their first run, working towards a personal best or simply enjoying being active, every step counts. We are proud to support an initiative that inspires people to make their health and wellbeing a priority.”

Christian Berglehner, Founding Partner of Race ME Events, the official race organisers added, “We are delighted to see the Dubai Canal Run grow from strength to strength over the last seven years. This progress is a testament to the passion of our participants and the dedication of our partners. Such success would not be possible without the continued support of Sukoon and Bupa Global, alongside the invaluable backing of the Dubai Government and the Dubai Sports Council.”

The 2026 edition is expected to attract participation from regional and international organisations, with corporate teams using the event as an opportunity to encourage employee wellbeing, strengthen workplace connections and celebrate shared achievements beyond the office. Its accessible race distances and family-friendly atmosphere also make it an ideal opportunity for first-time runners and those looking to incorporate more physical activity into their everyday lives.

Through initiatives such as the Dubai Canal Run, Sukoon and Bupa Global continue to champion a proactive approach to health and wellbeing, encouraging individuals and communities to make healthier choices and recognise the positive impact of staying active.
