UAE-based technology company Syncrow has launched SyncOS, a cloud-based Internet of Things (IoT) platform designed to modernise building management across the Arabian Gulf region, by enabling energy-saving operations and improving building efficiency.
The launch comes as regional public and private sector organisations increasingly turn to digital systems to meet energy efficiency, health, and sustainability targets outlined in regional initiatives, such as the UAE’s Green Agenda 2030 and Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
SyncOS allows users to oversee and control building systems—such as air conditioning, lighting, security and water—from a centralised dashboard accessible via web or mobile applications. The platform is designed for use across multiple buildings and facilities, including commercial towers, residential compounds, government offices, and healthcare environments.

Addressing a news conference in Dubai on July 2, 2025, Talal Debs, Co-Founder and CEO of Syncrow, noted that unlike traditional building management systems (BMS), SyncOS operates wirelessly and integrates IoT automation, cloud connectivity, and real-time analytics.
The platform supports over 60 device types, enabling organisations to upgrade existing infrastructure without extensive rewiring or structural changes.

The system uses embedded sensors and predictive maintenance features to monitor device health, send early alerts, and minimise equipment downtime. Debs said this helps reduce operational costs and improves system reliability for facility managers and building operators.
Environmental wellness
One of the platform’s key components is its focus on environmental wellness. SyncOS can automatically regulate temperature, air quality, and water conditions according to occupant health standards. This aligns with the growing expectation for healthier indoor environments in homes, workplaces, and public buildings.
The rollout of SyncOS follows Syncrow’s expansion in the Gulf region. With its headquarters in Dubai and a branch office in Riyadh, the company has delivered smart automation projects to clients across the hospitality, healthcare, education, and government sectors.
Debs said the new platform merges features from legacy BMS with the functionality of modern cloud and IoT systems. “Businesses can now access real-time insights at the device level, which supports faster, data-driven decisions,” he added.

He stressed that growing public awareness around health and environmental conditions has influenced demand for smarter living and working environments. “We’re seeing increased expectations from tenants and building occupants for better air quality and thermal comfort,” he said.
Syncrow also offers complementary services as part of its broader technology suite. These include SyncWell, a wellness-oriented automation system, and SyncVolt, an energy management solution designed to help organisations reduce power usage and carbon emissions.
Debs said the company ensures the highest level of cyberprotection for its digital assets, with customers able to specify what additional layers of cybersecurity they require.
Founded in 2021 by Debs and Mohammad Zakhour, COO, Syncrow has positioned itself as a regional provider of scalable IoT infrastructure tailored to the GCC’s building standards and regulatory frameworks. Its retrofitting capability enables older buildings to adopt smart technologies without extensive renovation work.

The company serves a diverse client base, including hotels, places of worship, educational institutions, short-term rentals, as well as residential and commercial buildings. Its solutions also target facility management firms seeking to improve operational efficiency and meet emerging ESG (environmental, social, and governance) metrics.
As demand for smart city technologies rises across the Middle East and North Africa, platforms like SyncOS are likely to play a role in helping governments and private stakeholders adapt to future infrastructure and sustainability needs.
Syncrow plans to continue expanding its automation offerings, focusing on scalable solutions that can be implemented across a diverse range of real estate assets in the region.
