Residents across the UAE can expect a noticeable change in weather conditions this week, with cooler temperatures, cloudy skies, and scattered rainfall forecast across several parts of the country.
According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), Wednesday will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with a possibility of rainfall in scattered areas. Temperatures are expected to drop slightly compared to recent days, while winds may pick up at times, particularly over coastal areas and the sea.
Forecasters say winds will shift from the southeast to northwest at speeds ranging between 10 and 25 km/h, with gusts reaching up to 40 km/h in some areas. These winds could stir dust and sand, potentially reducing horizontal visibility in exposed locations.
Sea conditions are also expected to change, with the Arabian Gulf forecast to be rough, while the Oman Sea will see slight to moderate waves.
Daytime temperatures are expected to reach around 34°C in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with overnight lows between 22°C and 23°C. Other emirates are forecast to record maximum temperatures ranging from 30°C to 33°C, while humidity levels may fluctuate between 30 and 90 percent.
Looking ahead, the NCM said Thursday will remain partly cloudy to cloudy, with another chance of rainfall during the day across some coastal, northern, and eastern regions, along with a further drop in temperatures.
On Friday, skies are expected to remain partly cloudy with moderate winds, while sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf may remain moderate to rough at times.
Weather conditions are forecast to improve gradually over the weekend. Saturday will be fair to partly cloudy, turning cloudier at night with a chance of light rain in western and southern areas into Sunday morning.
By Sunday, partly cloudy skies are expected across the UAE, with possible rainfall over islands, coastal zones, and parts of the western and southern regions as moderate northwesterly to northeasterly winds continue.
