The Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP) has launched its flagship Pink October campaign, bringing breast cancer awareness and free medical screenings to communities across the UAE throughout October. The initiative kicked off with overwhelming participation at the Pink Caravan’s fixed and mobile clinics, marking a strong start to this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
From October 1 to 31, 2025, residents across the country can access free early detection services, including clinical breast examinations, mammograms, and ultrasound tests, at more than 86 sites nationwide.
Driving Awareness Through Action
At the heart of the campaign lies FOCP’s mission: to transform awareness into action. The Pink Caravan has rolled out a wide programme of workshops, lectures, and family-friendly events designed to engage citizens and residents of all ages and nationalities.
“Pink October reflects our vision of creating a health-conscious society that values prevention and proactive steps,” said Aisha Al Mulla, Director of FOCP. “Through the efforts of FOCP, the Pink Caravan, and our partners, we are shaping a culture of shared responsibility that combines awareness, emotional support, and corporate collaboration.”
She added that the campaign underscores Sharjah’s leadership in humanitarian health initiatives and aligns with the UAE’s commitment to making community health a national priority.

The campaign is supported by leading healthcare partners including Advanced Care Oncology Center, Emirates Hospital Group, Ras Al Khaimah Hospital, and University Hospital Sharjah.
The Pink Shop: Shopping with Purpose
Adding a creative dimension, FOCP’s Pink Shop features themed merchandise such as bracelets, pins, candles, and keychains. Proceeds directly benefit cancer patients and their families, ensuring the campaign’s positive impact extends well beyond October.
