Dubai, UAE — December 2025 — In a significant move to bolster defence industrial integration, the Advanced Military Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Centre has inked three strategic Memoranda of Understanding with Egypt’s Arab Organisation for Industrialisation, represented by its leading industrial facilities.

The signing ceremony, held at the Egyptian Pavilion during the International Defence Exhibition “EDEX 2025,” marks a major step in bilateral cooperation aimed at developing advanced regional capabilities in military aviation.

The event formed part of AMMROC’s participation under the UAE National Pavilion at EDEX 2025, held from 1-4 December at the Egypt International Exhibition Center. The Pavilion is supported by the Tawazun Council in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Defence.

According to the Emirates News Agency, the trio of MoUs establishes a comprehensive framework for cooperation across key technical domains.

The first, with the AOI Aircraft Factory, sets a strategic framework for joint work in manufacturing, developing, marketing, and selling components, structures, and systems for fixed-wing aircraft, jet aircraft, and unmanned aerial systems.

It includes aligning production lines with AMMROC’s programmes, establishing dedicated manufacturing cells, enhancing inspection standards, and facilitating knowledge transfer and technical training.

A second MoU, signed with the AOI Engine Factory and Digital Manufacturing Center, aims to enhance industrial and operational integration in the overhaul, repair, manufacturing, treatment, and supply of engine parts.

This partnership will leverage advanced digital manufacturing for tasks including specific engine MRO work, manufacturing components like rotating parts and housings, and collaborating on heat-treatment and coatings, while strengthening associated supply chains and extending component lifecycles.

The third agreement, with the Helwan Factory for Advanced Industries, focuses on supporting helicopter maintenance capabilities.

It covers cooperation in MRO services for helicopter components and systems, manufacturing or modifying parts, developing upgrade programmes, structural work, and establishing dedicated production lines or specialised workshops, alongside joint training initiatives.

Officials from both nations hailed the agreements as foundational for future collaboration. Nasser Al Nuaimi stated that the pacts “represent an important step in advancing industrial integration” and reflect a shared commitment to building “advanced, self-reliant capabilities rooted in modern knowledge and technology.”

Mahmood Alhay Alhameli described the move as “a strategic step toward expanding our regional partnerships,” particularly in the promising Egyptian market, to enhance services within AMMROC’s operational ecosystem.

Jasem Al Marzooqi emphasised that the signings reinforce a “shared vision with our partners in Egypt to advance industrial capabilities, transfer knowledge, and expand bilateral cooperation.”

He added that these partnerships are aligned with AMMROC’s vision to develop world-class MRO capabilities, meet regional and international demand, and solidify the UAE’s position as an advanced regional aviation hub.

During its participation at EDEX, AMMROC is showcasing models of the F-16 and C-130 aircraft platforms it supports and engaging with partners in Hall 3 to highlight its advanced capabilities.

The MoUs collectively underscore AMMROC’s ongoing strategy to broaden industrial partnerships and strengthen technical cooperation, ultimately supporting operational readiness and deeper integration between the UAE and Egypt in the defence aviation sector.
